Overall Satisfaction with Microsoft Defender for Endpoint
We use Defender for Endpoint for all of our endpoints and laptop servers. The use cases, just because it's an AV solution that we kind of would like to get notified if a user clicks on something or have malware, anything on their devices.
Pros
- I like the notifications inside of the Defender portal mainly because it gives me an idea to at what I'm looking for and it narrows it down to which specific device, what specific email and the whole entire lateral movement that was either attempted or that was actually successful.
Cons
- Notifications. One of the things that's a big headache for me is I actually have to go into the portal to see these alerts. It would be awesome if they work like they're supposed to. There's an email address put in there. Once an alert triggers, we're supposed to get an email theoretically, but we never do. So I would love to see that fixed.
- Just being able to have those alerts. just being able to see those alerts negative again, the alert actually working
- Other
Us being able to narrow down which device and being able to investigate more nside of the Defender portal of what's actually going on, what was actually alerted on.
The Advanced Star Protection is what we're using. And again, we're using that for all of our servers and all of our computers and laptops and things like that.
I think we have for roughly around 400 to 450.
