Overall Satisfaction with Microsoft Defender for Endpoint
It's just endpoint protection, data protection, malware protection, this type of stuff. It's just in general endpoint protection.
Pros
- Payload detection
- C2 traffic detection
- And the best thing about Defender is the signature that's frequently uploaded.
Cons
- Probably in granularity when you're trying to make granular policies so the policies can have some kind of improvement the way it's deployed. That is in general what I can see as improvement point.
- False positives
- Negative, probably resource usage of your workstations, memory usage. That's what I can think of.
- Integration with Other Systems
Vendor lock key.
Detection center
Windows, Windows server. We're protecting tens of thousands, close to a hundred thousand.
We use Defender in the cloud. We are currently using Defender in the cloud and also evaluating the XDR solution for programmatic. It's just arguments, the defense in depth. You have Defender Endpoint and then you have what you have in the cloud as well, so it's just augmenting each other.
