Overall Satisfaction with Lucidchart

There is definitely a learning curve for formatting in this tool. It feels a bit like Photoshop which I'm sure allows for stronger images and formatting but makes putting together a quick document a bit slower than one might like.
Lucidchart allows our team of project managers to easily and dynamically create and share org charts with department and client leadership to facilitate fast-paced, ever-evolving staffing conversations within our agency. It also serves to illustrate helpful data flow documentation from our technology team to explain systems, processes and workflows to our executive and product teams.

Pros

  • Clean workflow tools.

Cons

  • The UI is not always intuitive to new users for formatting.
  • Created consistent format for communicating team structures.
  • Standardized team management.
  • Allowed for source of truth for process workflows.
I have not had to reach out to Lucidchart support but find their trainings very useful in explaining the platform and best ways of working.

Smartsheet, 10000ft, Atlassian JIRA Align (formerly AgileCraft)
This is a great tool for building org charts and explaining process workflows to teams. We are new in our engagement with the tool on a regular cadence so have limited use cases at this time but the ability to embed or plug into other systems we use to manage our business makes Lucidchart a useful tool to have in our kit.
