Overall Satisfaction with Litmus

We use Litmus to test all the emails we create in a wide spread of different email clients. Our ESP only shows basic desktop vs mobile, while we aim for advanced testing on multiple clients. Litmus is the perfect tool for this, since it gives us detailed information for a lot of clients.

Pros

  • Testing HTML code in realtime, easy to edit
  • Show a lot of different email clients for testing email HTML
  • Provide options to test in different ways, e.g. sending a test email to get previews
  • Integration with different tools, like Marketo

Cons

  • We recently reached the limit for the amount of previews, and we don't use all aspects of the tool. A more specific license that fits us better would be great.
  • Full integration in Marketo, we now sometimes use the Chrome plugin for it. Direct integration would be very nice.
  • Deeper visibility in HTML code for different email clients
  • Increased quality of email HTML code

Litmus is a very good tool for advanced email testing in multiple email clients. It helps make your email HTML code be ideal and makes the user experience for your users perfect.
Since there is a lot of possibilities and options within the tool, it might be a bit overwhelming and even too expensive to only use it for the email previews.
