Overall Satisfaction with IBM Planning Analytics

It was essential in the beginning to give specific training to actually distinguish the difference between specialized workers; however, the experience effected by time has proved that it has offered higher returns through increasing the efficiency and the superior decisions. This way the actuaries do not have to keep track of the varied versions of the work in progress in other projects, and the integrated workspace helps the designers to work in coordination with each other.

Pros

  • Dynamic, scenario modeling capabilities
  • Integrated product lifecycle management tools
  • Predictive analytics dashboard with AI

Cons

  • Complex report customization process
  • Taking time to learn the progressive levels of this application
  • Limited visualization template options
  • Through streamlining the system, it has been able to cut the product design cycle time by a third.
  • Improved resource allocation efficiency
  • Enhanced accuracy in project timeline predictions
Prior to making the decision to go with IBM Planning Analytics, we had considered such options as Anaplan, Oracle Hyperion, and SAP Analytics Cloud. Despite the collaborative solutions offered by Anaplan and the good connection with other systems by SAP, the superb set of tool features and valuable capabilities for scenario modeling in IBM Planning Analytics should also be mentioned.

The benefits of IBM Planning Analytics in working with multistep processes as an optimal solution for the company's needs. This is especially ideal for projects that involve a shared document with many designers, who should have concurrent access to make additions to the designs on a project. The program takes a long time to process history data with numerous calculations in the case of high traffic.
