Overall Satisfaction with IBM Cognos

IBM Cognos was used by the IT infrastructure department at my organization to extract data, analyze and assemble reports.

Pros

  • Multidimensional data sources
  • Relational data sources
  • Prompt support
  • Improvisation based on customer feedback
  • Ease of use for users who are not familiar with data extraction mechanisms

Cons

  • Difficult to use for those users who are not well versed with using advanced softwares
HP OpenView, HP OpenView Client Configuration Manager
Best suitable for projects involving a high level of data analysis.
