Overall Satisfaction with IBM Cloud Virtual Servers

We use IBM Cloud to optimize our customer experience. It is also used in our infrastructure and our website. Therefore, it is being used across the whole organization rather than just a department.

Pros

  • Fast provisioning.
  • Fast support.
  • Easy integration.
  • Great UI.

Cons

  • Expensive.
  • Charges for OS reloads.
  • Charges for switching licenses with no refund.
  • Zero downtime.
  • Fast support if needed.
  • Easy and flexible.
IBM Cloud Bare Metal Servers are different from IBM Cloud Virual Servers as Virtual servers are virtualized and are not dedicated. This can lead to less performance rates and optimization. This is why our company has chose to use IBM Cloud Bare Metal Servers to optimize our service compared to IBM Cloud Virtual Servers.
IBM Cloud Virtual Servers are well suited if a business wants sustainable, well managed, and fast servers with lots of redundancy to prevent downtime. If a company does not need servers to have lots of redundancy to ensure 0 downtime, then it would be less appropriate as IBM costs are significantly higher.
