Overall Satisfaction with Gong
Gong is great tool that can be used for coaching someone else or self-reflection. As an SDR, I used it daily for coaching purposes. I go back to review my calls to learn how I can improve and do better. The filler words section is really helpful as well. It's also great that you can comment on others' calls privately so you can provide them with coaching. As an AE, I now rely heavily on Gong to summarize notes to prospects following demos. I use it to recap talking points that solidify the fit of our product and to remind myself of any follow up items I had promised.
Pros
- Automatically joins external calls so you never have to worry about the call being recorded.
- Allows for data to be able to see how many calls have been listened to and you can truly see which reps are self reflecting to improve.
- Recaps and summarizes the call, including any follow up items.
- Indicates a screen share so it's easy to find.
- Shows percentage of conversation control between rep and prospect.
Cons
- Transcript could be a little better, lots of off words.
- I wish I could listen in on a live call from my mobile device, but I can only join a meeting.
- Gong is huge time saver for highlighting key points and summarizing conversations. I probably save 2 hours daily.
