I use F5 Distributed Cloud WAF to foe security purposes like defend against web attacks. Among different other firewalls this is among the best that has the capability to stop the most critical attacks

Pros

  • It provides advanced threat protection based on behavioural analysis and anamoly detection
  • It allows for highly granular security policy
  • It also has bot protection

Cons

  • User interface and complexity of configuration can be improved
  • Can enhance flexibility to tailor policy
  • The total cost of ownership has been reduced as multiple security purposes as done in a single platform
  • Quick implementation of web application
  • Enhanced compliance and regulatory compliance
The comprehensive security feature that offers wide range of security features in a single platform like threat detection, bot prevention, granular security policies etc. it also has an extensive automation framework that seemlessly integrates with other components that are vital for the functionality of the application
Also the cloud native architecture allows for seemless scaling to handle dynamic workloads

F5 Distributed Cloud WAF is actually very well suited for e-commerce platform that is handling customers sensitive data and also handles financial transactions. This can also be used for large scale application due to its highly scalable use. Using this can protect against payment fraud and scams, attempts to takeover the account and also bot protection
