"Git" streamlined with Bitbucket!

Overall Satisfaction with Bitbucket

I've used Bitbucket at two companies, both of which used it for software version control. We have several Bitbucket projects, each containing multiple repositories, including our software products. Different repos have their own permissions.

Pros

  • Integration with other Atlassian products, such as Jira
  • User authorization and authentication
  • CI/CD

Cons

  • Very minor mistakes in support documentation
  • Streamlined and automated workflow with Jira
  • Permissions management over codebases
Bitbucket's UI is incredibly intuitive, and its customer support, both self-service and personnel, are clear, concise, and helpful. Bitbucket makes the Git flow seamless and provides additional DevOps tools like CI/CD.
I didn't choose Bitbucket, but I hypothesize that my company chose it partly for its phenomenal integration with other Atlassian products such as Jira. Bitbucket has GitHub as a worthy competitor, but in my opinion, there are no real Jira Software competitors.

Bitbucket perfectly meets our needs! If I had to gripe, I'd say it's less well-known than GitHub or GitLab.

Using Bitbucket

15 - Our software development team uses Bitbucket as their VCS. A data analyst has read/write access to a repo of utility scripts and read access to most of the other repos. Some support agents have read access to the utility scripts repo and one other software product repo.
We have no dedicated Bitbucket support personnel, but anyone on the development team (10 or 15 employees) can assist.

My organization is pleased with Bitbucket and has implemented numerous helpful customizations, such as automated CI/CD.
