Overall Satisfaction with Articulate 360

We currently use Storyline for process simulations, Replay for video recording and editing and Rise for elearning courses. Now with AI built into Rise we have also started to use it for converting content from powerpoint slides to elearnings along with using the AI generator for new images. Rise courses are used by every person in our organization.

Pros

  • I love the ease of use of Rise.
  • Replay allows for editing even the smallest things out.
  • AI functionality for creating images is so easy to use

Cons

  • Replay will often freeze or the transitions will cause it to freeze and you lose all the work up until that point.
  • I wish Rise allowed you to drag existing blocks or select multiple blocks to move them to other locations in the lesson or course.
  • For Rise, I wish there were more flexible formatting options for the blocks, such as having a "Side Image/Paragraph" block. The paragraph layout looks odd when the image is set to 75%. It would also be great to have the option to split a block in two and place two blocks side by side, like a flip card next to a paragraph block, or a video next to an image or infographic.
  • In replay, I'd love to see the option to copy and paste either images or video.
  • In replay, it would be helpful to have a function that merges spliced or deleted parts, so you wouldn't have to move each piece independently or use the CTRL key.
  • decreased training cost as we are able to edit videos to remove loading screens or other mindless content which decreases the length of the training.
  • allows us to easily share content with stakeholders. Allowing feedback directly in the Rise course saves time on both the designer and stakeholder.
We typically use Replay to create videos that we later embed into Rise courses. Rise is the most commonly used product. We use Rise for corporate and role specific elearnings and microlearnings. We use either preview links or zip files that we upload to our LMS>
We recently started using the AI assistant for
course conversions. We've been converting PowerPoint presentations into
eLearning content and utilizing the PowerPoint presentations as source
materials. This approach has been very successful. Personally, I've found the
image creator function to be incredibly time-saving. The AI block converter in
Rise is fantastic; I really appreciate this feature. It allows me to preview
how the content will look in different blocks without the hassle of copying and
pasting everything over.
I feel like there are always areas of opportunity to improve and bugs to fix however overall, Rise and Replay are both easy to use with minimal effort. Storyline is a bit trickier but serves its purpose and allows for more complex block creation. Most of my "complaints" are just things that I think would make the program better than it already is.
unsure as I have only used Articulate products.

Not sure

Are you happy with Articulate 360's feature set?

Yes

Did Articulate 360 live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Articulate 360 go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Articulate 360 again?

Yes

I think Rise is well suited for elearning and microlearning for any size of organization because of its easy-to-use functionality. The clean lines and you can easily modify to suit the company brand.

Replay is a great tool for anyone needing to create videos without needing to have a fancy program. It's fairly straightforward and can be simple to use but has the capabilities to do more.
