Overall Satisfaction with Articulate 360

I work for the IT group at Brigham Young University.
We create training for in house IT needs as well as providing solutions for the 35000 students.
I am just starting to use Articulate.
i have used Captivate in the past. While Articulate does not seem to have as much flexibility as the old Captivate, it does seem to have better support and works more smoothly with our LMS.

Pros

  • Easy to drop in media
  • I like how I can move and reposition slides
  • I can build and share rough first versions with my team and get their feedback

Cons

  • I can’t capture processes from screen to screen to show processes
  • I would like to be able to add text on top of my images
  • I am not sure how to highlight areas of media I add
  • We are able to share with other teams across campus
  • Because many of us use this tool, we can make additions to others’ templates
  • I am able to use Articulate on our LMS instead of creating content on Hickory which requires a unique license and cost
I am just starting. But Rise is really easy to get started with.
i love that I can share with my teammates and get their reviews and feedback.
I feel like I have a handle on the basics and am ready to move forward with Storyline for more intricate designs.
i look forward to using the AI assistant m.
Not much experience with the Articulate assistant.
But I look forward to creating images that will lend to the theme of the content.
i have a graphics designer who works for me, but I also look forward to taking some of the weight off their shoulders.
AI also acts as an editor to help me with my content.
Easy to get started with.
I like templates and the ease of dropping new blocks where and when I need them.
it is also easy to adapt color schemes to match our accepted branding.
There is enough customizable content that you can make some of the blocks function in several ways.
Captivate has always been kind of clumsy.
The worst part of Captivate is that it has not felt like Adobe wanted to support it.
Now that they have gone to their newest version, it is much less customizable.

It has become a new tool that has given up on the worthwhile pieces that it used to have.

Do you think Articulate 360 delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Articulate 360's feature set?

Yes

Did Articulate 360 live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Articulate 360 go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Articulate 360 again?

Yes

Articulate works well with linear training from a-z. I can show steps and processes.
We had a stand alone training platform that we had built many projects in, but as our teams grew, it became problematic because use required licenses for each user.
I have been able to recreate these courses in Articulate and drop them into our LMS where all of our employees already have access.
