Overall Satisfaction with Adobe Acrobat

We use Acrobat on a daily basis to convert files to PDF, combine files, and for e-signing. This allows us to OCR files and provide our clients with complete discovery packages. PDF is the standard within the legal services industry, and Acrobat provides all the tools we need, including redactions and Bates numbering.

Pros

  • Convert documents to PDF.
  • OCR documents for search.
  • Redaction
  • E-signing

Cons

  • Bundling documents.
  • Search across Portfolios.
  • Redaction process could be simplified.
  • Convert to PDF.
  • Redaction
  • E-signing.
  • Saves time in processing documents.
  • Ease of use and intuitive nature.
  • Easy e-signing workflow with audit trail.
  • Cloud Solutions
  • Integration with Other Systems
  • Ease of Use
It is easy to use because we process large document sets. It is easy to apply processes to a single document for delivery or e-filing. The tools offer a lot of value from fill and sign, to editing and securing documents. Adobe is also well integrated with other software platforms that we use everyday.
  • Kofax Power PDF
Adobe is well placed against Kofax. Its e-signing is hand-down easier and more robust. That alone gives it the edge. Kofax does some some easier tools to use and we have it as a backup. But Adobe is our go-to solution for PDF creation, processing and document administration. You can't go wrong with Adobe.

Did Adobe Acrobat live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Adobe Acrobat go as expected?

Would you buy Adobe Acrobat again?

Yes

Acrobat is well suited for converting and combining documents for e-filing. It also works very well for e-signing. Acrobat has no functionality to create court/discovery packages with automated tables of content or other features and this limits its effectiveness for legal usage. Overall, it is a great product, and Adobe seems to be updating features regularly.

Using Adobe Acrobat

5 - All legal professionals including attorneys, paralegals, investigators and legal assistants. The uses range from automating and e-signing client engagement agreements and discovery production.
2 - Our paralegal and investigator support the use of Adobe for advanced functions and are able to create templates, autofills, capture data from online forms, etc. But as the others use these tools they are also becoming proficient in their use.
  • E-sign
  • Discovery production and review
  • AI summarization
  • Privacy protection
  • AI summarization
  • Automated documents
  • Customizable templates
  • AI uses that allow for more expansion of document review
  • Online form data capture
It's our go to PDF solution. And so far pricing is reasonable.

Evaluating Adobe Acrobat and Competitors

We would change nothing. We evaluate by purchasing licenses and using in real world scenarios. Adobe wins hands down.
