We use Zoho Assist as our central remote support platform. As we have thousands of users working from various locations, the ability to provide them with support in an agile manner is critical, and Zoho Assist enables us to do just that. No hassle, no waiting, no issues, it just works.

Pros

  • Allow multi platform remote support.
  • Allow easy screen sharing.
  • Allow easy remote control.
  • Allow file transfers.

If you have a limited budget, you'll like Zoho Assist pricing. If you have a large team of IT technicians, you'll appreciate Zoho Assist's concurrent usage licensing.

Feature-Rich Remote Support at a Fraction of the Cost Why Zoho Assist Stands Out

Rating: 10 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I use Zoho Assist on a daily basis as a reliable remote support tool to connect to users' computers. It allows me to quickly and securely access their systems, identify issues, and perform necessary troubleshooting in real time. Whether it’s resolving technical errors, walking someone through a process, or installing updates, Zoho Assist plays a vital role in helping me provide efficient and seamless support, no matter where the user is located.

Pros

  • Secure remote access
  • Easy Deployment
  • Unattended Access

Cons

  • Easier Copy/Paste from remote computer to the controlling computer would be nice

Likelihood to Recommend

We were previously using another remote support solution, but when their pricing increased significantly, we began looking for alternatives. That’s when we discovered Zoho Assist. It offers the same level of functionality and reliability as our previous provider—at a much more reasonable cost. I have already recommended Zoho Assist to multiple other IT professionals.

Zoho Assist - Why it works for my company

Rating: 9 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

As a sole proprietor LLC, the only employees I have are me, myself, and I. Because of this, it is often more efficient to connect with my clients that I need to service remotely. This is where Zoho Assist comes in to play for my business. I have used other remote support software programs before, but for the cost I pay for Zoho Assist, I am able to service more customers than I could with the competitors. Plus, it works on Windows, Mac, Linux, and even some mobile devices, so I can troubleshoot a lot more devices than I could before. All in all, I have been extremely pleased with Zoho Assist, and I highly recommend it to everyone that has a need for remote support. I primarily use the Unattended Access for my clients, and it works like a champ.

Pros

  • Unattended Access
  • One time support sessions
  • Being able to connect without the need to drive to my client
  • More flexibility in scheduling appointments.

Cons

  • Occassionally, it will say that it is not online, even though it is. This is rare.
  • Dealing with multiple monitors is sometimes troubling to handle.
  • Copying and pasting from my machine to the remote machine doesn't always work seamlessly.

I've got a full day, and I get a call from a client. My email isn't working. I can't get Outlook to stay running. It opens and then shuts down. I am about to end the day, but before I shut down my laptop, I'm able to remote into my client's computer, check out his Outlook, and try some things. In this case, I do need to visit the client, but I know already that there are some things that I've tried already so it will reduce the amount of time I need to spend at their location.

We use Zoho Assist for remote pc access for support. We also do OS updates remotely. We have a remote workforce so having a solution that is cost effective and reliable is key. THe deployment for new hardware is really simple and easy to manage.

Pros

  • Remote access
  • Deploying new devices
  • OS updates
  • Locking work stations

Cons

  • Store OS versions
  • Store serial numbers
  • would be great to store where purchased and warranty

Great value and functionality

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

As an IT Professional in a small organization I've got budget restraints, but still have problems to solve. Zoho Assist has allowed me to connect to employees in the organization in multiple locations at a price that we can afford. We have employees working from home and other remote locations, and on site IT gets costly and time consuming. Zoho Assist allows me to do more with my time and support the needs of our company.

Pros

  • Simple connections.
  • Allows me to support mobile.
  • Allows unattended access.

Cons

  • Instructions to the tech and the person receiving support could be more clear.
  • Providing mobile support is still a bit clunky. Interacting with the user's device on the other end is not totally functional.
  • It would be nice to have a PC app to use instead of accessing via the browser.

Likelihood to Recommend

Zoho Assist has been great for me when someone calls and has problems accessing files, or can't figure out why their computer is doing something weird. I can just send them a link and be connected to them in a couple minutes. I've tried providing support to mobile devices and it has proven to be a challenge, especially if the user on the other end is not particularly tech savvy. The installation process is not intuitive and the functionality of the support once I was connected was not very good.

Zoho-rific tool indeed

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I used Zoho Assist in my previous organization to basically handle everything, from emails to recording tasks and keeping important documents and files. It was a great tool, but because our organization did not purchase the Enterprise version, I was unable to utilize it's other features and thus, my usage of Zoho Assist is very limited to the ones that I highlighted.

Pros

  • Zoho Assist has Two-factor authentication (2FA) for added security.
  • I can access my tools from multiple devices wherein Zoho Assist is installed.
  • Easy file-transfer solutions
  • Session recording for audits and training

Cons

  • Improve connection times, especially when I'm on the move and the areas that I go to have low bandwidth, which affect the performance of Zoho Assist in my device.
  • Allow Zoho Assist to be integrated to other applications
  • Increase file transfer limits

Likelihood to Recommend

Zoho Assist can be the ideal tool to be used by small to medium size enterprises that are looking at cost effective ways of utilizing technology and integrate it into their business, and is very compatible for both Apple and Windows users. However, Zoho Assist is not the ideal tool to be used for remote gaming, video editing or any high-performance tasks, as its latency issues are yet to be addressed and improved.

Zoho Assist Allows us to Provide A+ Support technology

Rating: 10 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Zoho Assist in coordination with Zoho Desk to support our customers in real time if deemed necessary after they've submitted a support ticket to access their machine and locate where the issue is and walk the customer through the resolution.

Pros

  • Viewing the customers machine in 'read/view only' mode
  • View and take control of the customers machine to determine the issue

Likelihood to Recommend

We had a customer call with issues re-assigning a license to a new machine. After we were provided with the license serial number we were able to dis-associate the license with the current computer and then while watching the customer do the work we were able to walk them through exactly where they needed to go and direct them what they needed to select as various pop ups came onto their screen without them having to tell us every time a new option appeared.

Rating: 8 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

It is being used by all employees to connect from home to their onsite computer. We have a few programs that are not in the cloud and can only be accessed when onsite. So our employees connect with Zoho to their computer in the office to run and work in these programs.

Pros

  • File transfer.
  • Technician and group setup.
  • Sync with other Zoho products fairly easily.

Cons

  • Support takes a while to communicate or answer.
  • Connection issues; screen doesn't display properly.
  • Updates sometimes do not go thru properly causing us to remove/reinstall.

Likelihood to Recommend

Works well for remote users to connect to their onsite computers. The mobile app works great for technicians. I can't really think of anywhere it isn't appropriate because these days everyone works remotely at some point and even if they have no need to connect to an onsite device when they need assistance the tech can connect quickly and easily.
