Business Problems Solved
WordTracker has become a preferred alternative to SEMrush for keyword data analysis as many users find it to be easier to navigate. The software is used daily by SEO departments to support client strategies and conduct in-depth SEO research. One of the key use cases of WordTracker is its ability to provide valuable keyword statistics such as search volume and competition level through its Keyword Effectiveness Index, or KEI, figure. This feature allows users to make informed decisions on which keywords to target and optimize their content accordingly.
In addition to keyword analysis, WordTracker is an invaluable tool for content marketing research. It assists in selecting relevant keywords that drive traffic to company blogs, ultimately improving organic search rankings. The software also helps the social media team stay up-to-date with trending keywords in their industry, ensuring that their content remains engaging and searchable. By addressing the business problem of understanding how the target audience searches and what topics they are interested in, WordTracker enables companies to develop effective SEO strategies.
Heinz Marketing, a prominent user of WordTracker, employs the software for comprehensive keyword research and works closely with clients to devise successful SEO strategies. Coordinators and consultants within the company have found WordTracker useful for website optimization and search ad optimization as well. Another notable feature of WordTracker is its ability to compensate for Google's limited data transparency by providing insights into keyword data from multiple sources.
The key use cases of WordTracker include building keyword sets, expanding existing sets, and conducting gap analysis. Users appreciate the software's user-friendly interface and the option to export large volumes of data for further analysis in Excel. Additionally, frequent data updates provided by WordTracker make it a reliable tool for ongoing keyword research.
Overall, WordTracker offers a range of features that cater to different aspects of SEO research and content optimization. Its versatility makes it a valuable asset for businesses of all sizes looking to enhance their online visibility and target their desired audience effectively.
It is easier to use than SEMrush and I have some of my employees use it for that reason. It does a good job showing keyword data in an easy-to-understand way. It seems fairly accurate too.
Pros
Easy to use.
Nice interface.
Reliable.
Cons
I think slicing and dicing the data in the tool without exporting could be improved, but I am not thinking that this tool is for more advanced use cases.

To get a quick handle on keyword metrics and ideas, this tool really is idea. It is sooooooo much easier to work with than SEMrush, which does a lot and is organized, on the whole, rather poorly.
WordTracker has been invaluable for my company as a content marketing research tool. I manage the editorial calendar for our blog content - WordTracker helps me and other authors pick the keywords that will drive the most amount of relevant traffic back to our blog. In addition, WordTracker helps my social media team keep up to date on which keywords are trending in our specific industry. I would say that the biggest business problem that WordTracker addresses is understanding how my target audience writes for the web (especially how they use search engines) and the types of topics and information for which they search.
Pros
Keyword research to find the perfect phrases with low competition and high impression rate
Keeping up with trending topics in any industry field
Giving new ideas on longtail keyword phrases to target or utilize on your blog
Cons
More accurate impression rate per phrase - even if a phrase gets only 15 impressions a month, those impressions might be valuable customers/sales.
Pricing could be more affordable
Better explore keywords that indicate a customer is ready to purchase

During the selection process, you should keep in the mind the specific keywords that you think indicate a viewer is in your target audience. I think that WordTracker is well suited for pulling leads in with interesting SEO-driven keyword phrases, yet it is less appropriate if you need help discovering the keywords that indicate your customer is ready to make a purchase.
