I use Whova exclusively for conferences that I attend within my industry, provided that Whova is offered as the conference app by the organizer. Whova is also helpful for post-conference outreach, remaining connected, and for prospecting either prior to or post conference. I find Whova very helpful for conference agendas, scheduled sessions and other ways to connect with conference attendees.
Pros
Conference platform and information
Additional Resources
Connecting with conference attendees
In-pocket convenience
Cons
Consider adding an Instant Messaging component to interact with conference attendees and colleagues in real time, with notifications.
In addition to the photo gallery, could there be added functionality to allow for uploading presentations?
Many times attendees are promised access to keynote and session presentations after the conference, but often it is unclear where or when these will be available.

Conference content is the most useful tool, seeing the schedule at a glance, or which breakout room the session you're interested in is held and how to get to it.
I utilized this app while at the 2025 [...]Conference. Overall, I was very impressed with the platform and the networking tools. I loved being able to manage my schedule and have it ready to go to guide my day.
Pros
Direct networking with attendees and opportunities to meet.
Organizing the conference's agenda.
Connected well with the attendee roster available. I really liked the bookmark feature that helped me quickly remember whom I chatted with.
Cons
I did notice some lag in messages being received after being sent.
I also found it hard to go back to a community group meet up for updates. You had to manually go back through all the other groups to find the one I signed up for. I would see updates come through, but couldn't access them directly.

I think it works really well as a way to organize yourself while at a conference. As well, to network with said attendees I found it very valuable to remember names. Having an automatic rolodex with everyone I met and ensure I had their info to connect later.
being able to announce things to the whole group or separately
Cons
the contact information should be able to be downloaded straight to our contacts on our iphone, it was frustrating to have to manually input each contact
Whova was used in a conference that our school attended. I used it to create my personalized schedule for the day, connecting with other attendees, and setting up meetings between events. Being able to set most of that up before the conference was a big help. I am a big fan!
Pros
Helping build a personalized schedule
Connecting with other attendees
Posting questions or polls for more meaningful interactions
Cons
I did not encounter any part of the app that was difficult to use.

Whova was extremely helpful for an individual to prepare and thrive during an event that could easily be very chaotic. Having all of the information in one place was wonderful. The added benefit of communicating with other attendees was great! Following up with questions or coordinating meeting times and places were easily done within the app.
Whova is a great platform for conferences! It promotes user engagement and makes collaboration during conferences easy and seamless. You have the ability to share knowledge and experience with other conference users as well as interact with them thru private chats and public discussions on a wide variety of topics. The ability to include polls and pictures enhances the experience as well. I would highly recommend this platform for use during your conference!
Pros
Collaboration Opportunities
Polls
Consumer interaction

This platform works very well for remote conferences. It might not be as appropriate for in-person events, but I think it could still be utilized there as well.
I used Whova at recent APA conference in Nashville, TN. I've been attending conferences for about 20 years, and hands down, Whova is the best app that I have ever used. Identifying and communicating with specific attendees was fantastic. Too often these conference apps, you may see an attendee list, but there is no way for me to communicate directly with the attendee or visa versa. I was a speaker and it was great for attendees to message me directly and I could answer their questions prior to my breakout session.
Pros
Communication
Promoting your brand and if your hosting a breakout session
I feel like the app really created a synergy between the attendees themselves and also with the vendors
Cons
I honestly can't think of any. Fantastic app

Great communication, build vendor brand awareness and was very easy to create leads.
I've used it at several different conferences and I get a ton more out of the conference when it is used. For example: 1) Meetups with colleagues and customers 2) Contact information and notes about conversations are easily captured 3) Customers are more apt to stop by booth when they are fulfilling the passport requirements for a free prize. 4) I can start a discussion on a topic to see who in the conference is most interested and target them for in person discussions. 5) Too many to list.....
Pros
Leaderboard to drive people to use the tool
Lead capturing with notes for each contact you make
Foster and encourage meetup oppy's for social interaction beyond just the business of attending the function (i.e. hiking, running, drinking, eating, ...etc)
Cons
Let there be some kind of export function of the lead capture. I have the contacts that I've 'Liked" and are easily accessed. I have the notes in each one of the contacts for what i need to do to follow up. But I'd like to export that to an Excel file so i have all contacts and action items in one spreadsheet.
Advertise the Passport function better. Not many people are aware of it and it was used in 3 of the last 4 conferences I've been at.
Whova is the best app i've used at conferences but please concentrate on #1 above to really get the support of all the exhibitors.

I've already expanded on that in the previous questions. If you want to go from a 9 to a 10, add the export function for lead capturing.
We used Whova for SEO Estonia, and it was, by far, the best event app I've ever used. It had everything, while also keeping it short and straight to the point. WebSummit, MWC, GITEX, all of these huge events were lacking in this department. The highlight for me was the "web app", where I could see the attendees over my laptop. For any sales roles, this is a huge help across the outreaching process.
Pros
Web App
Messaging between Attendees
Agenda
Responsiviness/Performance
Cons
Demand that people uploads their profile pic
Demand that people inserts their company's name

Any tech events or conferences would love to have Whova as their app, no matter the size of it. Besides that, I loved Whova so much, that I don't much else to talk about it, besides that it's really great.
Howdy! I was first introduced to the Whova application for the [...] conference held in Arlington, TX. It is a way to see the details of the conference itinerary, questions, and basically the entire even from your phone! I can see the photos without asking them to send me a copy, I could ask questions and even create my own polls! My first thought when Whova was presented to upload was "OMG another app I will never use" but boy was I wrong! I could even link my business card and my Linked In information. Another thing I didn't have to lug around during the sessions. Very impressive!
Pros
organizes the event
provides pictures
allows the user to create a poll
Cons
need to have patience to get used to maneuvering the app
The organization my company uses hosts an annual event in which they use Whova for their event platform. It is used as a networking and agenda tracking application for the event.
Pros
The mobile aspect is perfect as far as being user friendly.
All alerts and reminders are precise.
The interface for the agenda and attendees are seamless.
Cons
I feel like a filter option under attendees would be beneficial if you're looking for the different companies that attended.
Likelihood to Recommend
It presents well when having it function as your event's planner and networking platform.
