Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I use Whereby with clients, friends and family. I use it for quick onboarding and troubleshooting. I use it for webinars and recording important meetings. I use it several times per week because it gives me an easy way of providing quick support and interactions with business partners and team mates.

Pros

  • no downloads
  • quick set up
  • easy navigation
  • easy to screenshare and record

Cons

  • would be great if it allows blurring of background
  • would be great if it allows a fake background
  • fast forward funtcionality on videos does not seem to work

  • Very easy to use.
  • Very easy to create an account.
  • It has the same basic features as other robust programs.

Cons

  • Allow more participants online in the videoconference.

Return on Investment

  • Sometimes we do more than one videoconference simultaneously. Whereby helps a lot as a second option, especially with few participants.
  • When our main system failed, we used appear.in so that the meeting could be held.

Pros

  • Ease of loading the app
  • No codes or silly time wasting with getting connected

Cons

  • I was disappointed when they removed the fun icons which were on Appear.In.
  • They have since replaced them but with very boring ones!

  • It has made it easy to connect with international clients as well as overseas friends.
  • It is a very professional looking setup and gives a good impression that you are businesslike and professional.

Pros

  • Simple to connect
  • User friendly

Cons

  • Audio quality is not great (compared to our dedicated VOIP lines)
  • Video quality is great in a small room (4 locations--point-to-point) but degrades in larger rooms. We are based in Australia, and I believe the server is in Europe.

  • The pricing is very fair and cost-effective.
  • Excellent ROI
