Manager, People Systems in Human Resources at FLEXcon Company, Inc. (501-1000 employees employees)
Use Cases and Deployment Scope
We mainly use the system to track time in attendance. However, we also use it for analytics related to overtime, PTO, and other data. We would like to further utilize the system, using the analytics package, as that has quite a few out-of-the-box visualizations we can use when making critical decisions for the business.
Pros
Support (Jake is wonderful).
Tracks time & attendance.
Clocks have the ability to use biometrics for security purposes.
Cons
During the implementation, I would’ve liked to look at best practices and utilize those in our current processes to make improvements so we do t have to go back to correct them later.
Return on Investment
The analytics module should have been part of the original implementation. So now we have to go back and add that to our budget at renewal.
There are a lot more ways to report on the data than the former system we had.

IT Executive Director in Information Technology at Lexington Medical Center (5001-10,000 employees employees)
Use Cases and Deployment Scope
WFD allowed us to have a single integrated scheduling and timekeeping solution. Allowed wider visibility for departments to share resources - UKG is not good at this because you don't have a solution for employees with multiple jobs We need more real-time census data to react to workforce needs. We achieve this by having census import from our EMR every 4 hours. We need an easy way to notify employees on open shifts and for employees to pick up open shifts. Provide an electronic PTO request and approval method.
Pros
Very powerful/advanced timekeeping system
Decent mobile app for our employees
Scheduling works for the most parts
Cons
You got to have a solution for employees with multiple jobs
Need to allow customers to easily access your integration technology
Your business structure is too restrictive and making the application far less flexible
Your professional service team needs a lot of improvement, especially in the execution part
Need to have a proven and working interface for business structure automation.
Return on Investment
Employee can now pickup open shift without us calling them
Employees can request PTO from the Web and mobile app without email and manual time entry
We are still constantly struggling and dealing with scheduling employees with multiple jobs
Without a working business structure automation, we are spending much more time dealing with department and job changes on the business structure

Payroll and HRIS Manager in Human Resources at Carlex Glass America (1001-5000 employees employees)
Use Cases and Deployment Scope
UKG Dimensions is a robust but user-friendly timekeeping system. It solved a lot of the complex manufacturing payroll rules we were doing manually. UKG Dimensions used to be Kronos Dimensions, and Kronos is the king of timekeeping. I am so glad my company agreed to this purchase. We have only been live for three weeks, which has already created efficiencies, helped our company be more compliant, and standardized our practices and policies. The implementation was not without its bumps and trials, but it will be well worth it in the end.
Pros
Timekeeping
Scheduling
Absence tracking
Cons
PTO integrated with Outlook/Google calendars
Paying historical edits is cumbersome and hidden
The security for UKG Dimensions is in a tab in Core that is super difficult to understand and use - please fix this

ERP Applications Manager in Information Technology at AdventHealth (10,001+ employees employees)
Use Cases and Deployment Scope
UKG Dimensions is used to collect punch times from data collection devices and their mobile app. That is then applied to employees' time cards for payroll processing. Scheduling is used by employees for self-scheduling based on the manager's department schedule. Dat views and reports are used by managers and directors for scheduling and punch trends analysis. Data integrations are used to feed labor productivity systems for corporate dashboards.
Pros
Front end UI is modern.
Documentation and training within the help system is well documented.
Attestation workflow for employee punch correction via time card and time clock with manager approval is well designed.
Cons
The configuration of the system takes many clicks to perform simple tasks. The product does not feel enterprise-ready for large employee-scale deployment. Too many repetitive steps.
There could be better error-checking for configuration. The system allows for configuration that is not supported by the product but still allows you to save it.st
If an integration batch job is running, you do not have the ability to cancel the job. For jobs that can take 4 hours, one has to wait for jor the job to end, it needs to end sooner.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope
WFD is used in my organization for timekeeping and accruals primarily. We have some schedules and also an external scheduling platform integrated. Our organization uses a variety of pay rules due to many different comp plans across the organization. WFD is helpful for managing the variety of pay practices across the organization including overtime, shift premiums, and salaries.
Pros
rule analysis- the rule analysis in this product is much cleaner and easy to follow compared to WFC
The level of granularity on FAPs is very helpful for configuring access compared to other platforms
UI is very easy to follow and intuitive
Cons
Difficult to manage sick accruals for employees who work across multiple states
Geofencing still requires the selection of a job. This makes transfers more time-consuming.
