Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Tuskr as a test case management tool, and the test cases are for a recording software. Tuskr helps us keep track of what has to be done in each test and helps us log the results for each test case, and gives a clear view of how the software is doing after each version.

Pros

  • Test case management
  • Quality reports
  • User control

Cons

  • Image pasting
  • Test run templates
  • Auto save on test cases

Likelihood to Recommend

Tuskr is excellent for test case management, as it provides a complete suite of tools to create and manage them. It is also very good for quality assurance processes. I'd say it is not very appropriate if the tests needed consist of ever changing steps, as Tuskr does not provide a simple way to list dynamic tests

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

When testing issues we would track what to do and how it passed/failed via an Excel sheet that was being built and copied each time. Now that we have Tuskr we are tracking the testing via the software and can see much more information, as well as break downs of what is not working or what is. This has really saved time and made things much more cleaner.

Pros

  • Cleaner Testing Results
  • Test cases that are not being rebuilt each time

Likelihood to Recommend

We have just started using Tuskr but it's helped our team save time when testing items and really being able to track each time something passes/fails when regression testing. I would recommend this software to anyone who is using antiquated ways of regression testing and their way of tracking it.

Tuskr made documenting and organizing test cases easier

Rating: 10 out of 10
Incentivized

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Tuskr is solving the problem of managing and organizing our manual testing process. We needed a user-friendly and intuitive interface, that helps us with creating and executing test cases, tracking test results, and identifying issues or bugs. The tool is easy to understand, and the onboarding is very quick. The interface is simple and intuitive, however, it still offers options for a high level of detail and customization. For example, we were able to set up custom fields, test types, and statuses that fit our testing process, as well as defined steps per test. It’s also easy to add images and comments for more complex test cases.

Pros

  • custom fields
  • test runs
  • defining steps in every test case
  • grouping test cases

Cons

  • It would be nice to be able to directly paste an image, instead of selecting it from the file tree.

Likelihood to Recommend

We primarily employ Tuskr to conduct quality assurance on our releases before deploying them to our production environment. With Tuskr, we can incorporate diverse test runs, display execution statuses, and utilize a dashboard that provides comprehensive test case statistics across various projects.

Pros

Cons

  • There is a need to run the test run at least for few times per some days. Otherwise, our account may be terminated. This may be relieved.
  • Integrations like Jira are still a bit harder. Improvisations are needed here.

Tuskr is a great and easy to use manual testing product

Rating: 9 out of 10
Incentivized

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I've setup Tuskr to replace using spreadsheets for tracking our manual testing of our software. The problem that we have with our software is that it is very difficult to automate testing as well as keeping track of the history of the tests. When in the past I used other software to do this however, it was much more expensive and cost prohibitive for where I am at now. Tuskr seems to hit that sweet spot of affordability and functionality.

Pros

  • Tracking of tests
  • User Interface is modern
  • Setting up tests is straight foward

Cons

  • Kicking off tests seems to have too many clicks
  • I'd like to be able to have an active running test, and easily run again.

Likelihood to Recommend

If you have a small team Tuskr is especially reasonable for setup. I was able to build a bunch of tests and steps for testing our software. One issue that I did have however, was that I couldn't fail an individual step within a test. It did seem that I should create a ton of little tests, instead of having a test with multiple steps. I built my tests around functionality of our software, instead of a bunch if isolated tests that only have a couple steps in them.
