Task and Project Organization

My employees are scattered across the US. We use Trello to track the activities that need to be accomplished, as well as who is responsible for accomplishing them.

Automation and Templates

I use the automation feature to create lists of recurring activities each month. I also use the template feature, combined with the checklists, to create lists of reports that need to be sent on a monthly basis.

For Professional, Scientific, and Technical Services firms, a primary area where Trello could enhance its functionality revolves around the management of complex task hierarchies and the visual clarity of boards, particularly when projects involve numerous sub-tasks or detailed components. Two of six reviewers specifically noted challenges in maintaining an organized and aesthetically manageable workspace as projects scale or become more intricate. This limitation can impact teams responsible for detailed research, multi-stage technical projects, or client deliverables that require meticulous tracking and clear visual separation of tasks. The current structure, while flexible for simpler workflows, can lead to visual clutter, potentially hindering quick comprehension and efficient oversight crucial for project managers and technical leads in this sector. Addressing these organizational nuances could significantly improve Trello's utility for the structured and often granular work typical of professional services.

Card and List Management

It’d be nice for an admin to put a limit of how many cards are in one card overall. It can get aesthetically overwhelming at times.
