Pros
ID Unification.
Flexible integrations with all sorts of platforms.
Ability to define custom programming for those special use cases.
Constant product improvements and new features.
Customer support that goes above and beyond.
Cons
Ability to update segments or activations in bulk.
For saved queries, ability to organize them better, in folders or categorizations.
Likelihood to Recommend
My favorite is that Treasure Data offers flexibility in connecting to various platforms. If there isn't an out-of-the-box connector, we can write custom scripts that run in Treasure Data and we can take advantage of other platforms' APIs. Then, we have the easy to use queries or connect to any other query editor. We can schedule queries, workflows, connectors. Clean data in Treasure data or bring it in clean already. Basically, anything is possible in Treasure Data.

It's our central platform to collect, transform and organize consumer data to make it available for marketing segmentation and BI. That data comes from a variety of sources and formats. This platform is used to abstract all infrastructure implementation from our development, giving us a full stack place to work with data.
Pros
Easy to start.
Support.
Integrations read to use.
Cons
Lack of flexibility.
Not clear on all technical limitations.
Graphical interface is slow.
Likelihood to Recommend
That was a good platform to create a worldwide read product in a short time. It was easy to start, as it cares about all infrastructure and gives us a ready to use place to develop our dataflows. The issue is where all that easiness turns into a lack of flexibility.
Treasure Data has helped us unify our dis-parent consumer data in over 50 markets. This assists us in building real-time behavioral audiences, improving reporting, safeguarding data privacy, and improving activation/execution into channels. With leadership and customization, we are driving ongoing cost savings, media efficiency, media effectiveness, and a better view of our consumers.
Pros
Unify disparate data sets and sources.
Analysis and understanding of data and reporting.
Safeguarding data privacy and improving activating into channels (Social, Media and Email).
Cons
Improvements in the user interface.
Simplification of segmentation for business (non-technical) users.
Likelihood to Recommend
Treasure Data is well suited to integrate all consumer data from disparate data sets, build real-time audiences based on behavior, connect to different channels to drive execution, and safeguard a company’s consumer data for privacy and governance. It is not used to actually distribute content for marketing purposes or build marketing automation journeys.

We are using the platform across the whole organization. They're helping us to be compliant against 1st party data usage, and also to be more effective about digital media spent using our owned data to impact the right consumers, or to find people like them. Even though it is not directly related to the Digital Media spent, being compliant against 1st party data usage keeps the company protected against law issues and bills that depending on the size of your business, can reach billions of dollars.
Pros
Scalability.
Security.
Integrations.
Ease of use.
Support.
Cons
User experience.
Reporting.
Real time data availability.
Likelihood to Recommend
They helped us a lot to shut down consumer data silos around the globe in a very safe and compliant way. Also are supporting our digital marketing strategies around the globe.
We use Treasure Data within Marketing as our Customer Data Platform (CDP). As such, it is central to our audience segmentation and activations to multiple marketing platforms.
Pros
Integration with platforms
Customer support
Easy to use UI
Cons
Contract limits
Lack of nuanced audience logic via UI
Likelihood to Recommend
Treasure Data is a great tool for companies looking to centralize their customer information, create audiences base on various criteria, and then activate on those audience across various platforms. It may not be ideal for companies who already consolidate & manipulate their customer data elsewhere (e.g., a cloud-based data warehouse) as some functionality will be redundant.

Treasure Data is currently used in several departments & soon will be rolled out for all the business lines at MSIL. It is really helpful in providing insights about customer journey basis which improvements have been done. We are also able to do smart targeting of audience for relevant Campaigns. Suppression of audience from campaigns when required is also achieved using TD.
Pros
Great in client servicing & project management.
Ample knowledge about technology & platforms.
Help in scenarios to resolve existing business problem.
Cons
On tool front, Reporting dashboards in TD using can be seen as an area for improvement.
Likelihood to Recommend
Well suited scenario
1. Personalization on digital assets can be driven by the specific audience set which can be churned out of TD. 2. Targeting of audience for Marketing campaigns.
Treasure Data is being used as a tool to assimilate, stitch & unify the audiences (and related data) for a customer. This enriched data set is being used for driving marketing and re-targeting activities as well as fueling the machine learning use cases for calculating highly active audiences and /or high intent audiences.
Pros
Pre-Built Treasure Boxes for running simple ML use cases.
Query Engine.
Audience Profiling.
Cons
Tag Management Tool (likes of GTM or Adobe Launch) for Web Analytics Tagging.
A/B Testing Tool or extension.
ETL and Connectors.

Well Suited: Works very well in creating a 360 view of the customer. This unified view using omnichannel and multisource data helps in analysing customer behaviour really well and on the same platform.

We use Treasure Data to orchestrate our customer journey, track customer acquisition cost, monitor multi-touch attribution, and data visualization. As an emerging enterprise-level company, we weren't entirely sure what a customer data platform did. However, in our experience, Treasure Data has never said "no" to a single request we submitted. Throughout our learning process, we discovered that we needed a data warehouse service as well, and they supplied.
Pros
Amazing customer support at all hours
The willingness to develop customer solutions
Multi-touch attribution
Cons
We'd like more clarity on what a CDP (any CDP) can or cannot do.
We'd love built-in data visualization tools.
Likelihood to Recommend
I've loved working with Treasure Data. They really will do whatever you ask, even if it's not what a CDP or TD was built for. However, it's just one software in your suite. If you're not already an enterprise company, like us who are emerging as an enterprise company, it can be confusing what TD and other CDPs can and cannot do. When we started, Treasure Data didn't have the data visualization services it has now. Further, Treasure Data can offer plenty of real-time data for website personalization, however, we didn't have a website CMS that could accept that information. We're still working on that.
It is being rolled out in phases but will be used across the whole organization. Currently within sales and marketing, primarily. With the ultimate goal of complete customer-centricity, the main problem we are addressing with the CDP is creating better experiences for our customers. Additionally, we have so much data that we need to unify and bring into one place.
Pros
Knowledgeable team
Helpful in setting up platform
Insightful tools, platform, and people
Great at strategic planning in our use cases
Training has been great. We've had many training sessions across the org that were held by the ATD team.
Cons
Hard to use if you're not heavily involved in data and analytics. We are hoping for an easier way for the marketing teams to utilize.
Dashboards aren't super intuitive, but just require some additional walk-throughs.
Need more resources
We've run into some memory issues on the platform, but the ATD team is making improvements to fix these.
Likelihood to Recommend
Utilizing Treasure Data will definitely help in creating better customer experience or centricity within your organization. It's very important to build a team that has many members all throughout your organization, purely focused on the customer data platform as this platform and the use cases that go along with it are a beast. But, definitely, it has been paying off.
