Pros
Intuitive User Interface: Users have consistently praised Todoist for its intuitive and user-friendly interface. Many users have stated that the software's design makes it easy to understand and navigate, allowing them to quickly complete tasks without any confusion or complications.
Efficient Task Management: The ability to add tasks with dates, comments, priorities, and attachments while organizing projects has been highly appreciated by a significant number of users. This feature allows users to include all necessary information and keep their tasks well-structured, ensuring a smooth workflow and enhancing productivity.
Seamless Synchronization Across Devices: Numerous reviewers have expressed their satisfaction with Todoist's seamless synchronization across multiple devices. They report that their task lists remain consistent and up-to-date without encountering any bugs or technical issues. This synchronization feature provides users with the flexibility to access and manage their tasks from any device, contributing to improved productivity.
It is used on an individual basis to keep priorities in line when managing multiple projects and clients. It is also being used to organize repeated procedures. This is done by creating projects for various facets of the individual's life and then organizing tasks within each of those. Days are prioritized at the end of each week and tasks are moved according to available work time and rolling deadlines.
Pros
Todoist: To-Do List & Task Manager syncs across platforms so that my tasks align with my calendar
Allows me to change views and create sub-tasks within each project with notes, files, and reminders
Todoist: To-Do List & Task Manager allows me to quickly add tasks to any project with due dates by using natural typing on all my devices.
Cons
I wish it were easier to see files and notes
The paywall limits the project number and some features that make it outstanding.
I wish there were a time tracking tool built into the app.

Todoist: To-Do List & Task Manager is suited for repeated procedures like on boarding clients. Each step can be listed within a project and sub tasks can be created to remember the details of each check point along the way. I believe it may not be so well suited to large teams collaborating on complex projects over a long period of time.
We use Todoist: To-Do List & Task Manager to share important tasks between two people in the company. We needed something easy and I have been using Todoist personally for years so we decided to give it a try in team and project organization. As we are only two people post team organization tools had more options than we needed so we went back to a simple thing we knew.
Pros
Share tasks between people.
Simply organize tasks and upcoming to-dos.
Easy to use.
Cons
More options for detailed views.
Kanban etc. views for teams.
Likelihood to Recommend
We do believe that for larger companies tools with more functions would probably be more helpful. But, if you are looking to share information quickly and easily without sending multiple emails and then repeating steps to organize those to dos on both sides, then Todoist: To-Do List & Task Manager is the right tool for you.
Todoist: To-Do List & Task Manager is my task and project management software for every task of my company. It provides a robust and flexible framework for structuring projects, recurring tasks, managing deadlines, and setting up filters and saved searches, among other features.
I also happen to rely on Todoist: To-Do List & Task Manager for personal and household task management.
Pros
Accessible from any platform
Excellent iPhone app
Fast task entry with smart interpretation of dates, projects, and other metadata
Undergoing rapid iterative development with a responsive support team and excellent "Ambition & Balance" blog from the company
Cons
Mac app (my primary platform) is lackluster; it seems to be a wrapper to the web interface. They should have a native app to compete better with Things 3 on a Mac
The new board view (Kanban view) is great, but it's brand new and could use some enhancements to catch up to Trello, monday.com, etc.
The completed task log is really slow
I wish the sync, security, encryption, and privacy features were clearer, better, and more transparent

Todoist: To-Do List & Task Manager is a flexible tool for solo or team use, to-do list/GTD mavens, and (more recently) Kanban enthusiasts. However, Kanban pros coming from Trello might be disappointed by the more limited functionality of the brand-new board features. The free version of Todoist: To-Do List & Task Manager gives you a lot of what you might need indefinitely, but I quickly upgraded to the affordable premium subscription to take advantage of the complete feature set.
All in All a great Todo-List app but: I subcribed with them 3 years ago paying by PayPal. I just wanted to subcribe for another year. But they do not support PayPal no more, only Credit Card. This is a no go and not trustworthy. What's next? This turns a 5-Star software straight into a 0-Star software!
Pros
Good Todo List
Multiple Platforms
Many Projects available
Cons
More colors for the Flags
Likelihood to Recommend
I've been using it for 3 years paying with PayPal. From now on they only accept Credit Card payment. This surprise is no go. I generally do not recommend companies that come up with surprises like that!
I am currently using this tool for personal task management outside of our primary project management tool (Jira). I wanted something simple to keep track of my most pressing to-do's, reminders and syncing with my email. I do recommend this tool to peers, but adoption across the organization if voluntary.
Pros
Clean UI
Syncs with Email
Room to expand on to-do with additional details
Cons
More customization to the UI
Folders
Likelihood to Recommend
This is great for personal tracking of to-dos, it wouldn't be a great Project Management system for complex projects.

Today I make more personal use of Todoist and not just things from my job. I use it more to write down small daily jobs or quick things for the next few days. I save time knowing what I need to do in my day, whether in the app, on the widget at the home screen on my smartphone, laptop, or desktop.
Pros
Quick task notes
Intelligent auto fill
Cons
Tasks view
Time counter
Likelihood to Recommend
For daily tasks, Todoist is perfect, and also to divide a project into small tasks. The visualization favors the tasks you have to do, and that is the proposal of the app, I imagine. However, I don't see a use for it in my complex projects that last for weeks or months. Even breaking all tasks and classifying in a label and using filters, I would still have difficulty managing the progress of the project, mainly because other tools allow me to estimate and count the time spent as well as doing a burndown.
In an unofficial capacity, a couple of members of my team use Todoist. We have other bugs/process/task tracking systems but for day to day, a couple of us settled on this app.
Pros
Easy to use UI.
Cross platform accessibility.
Cons
Integration with my Google Home Nest hub would be nice.
Not sure how to set-up push notifications in iOS for when I forget to check my tasks.
Likelihood to Recommend
When I start my day, I usually get a chance to sit down and plan out individual milestones/tasks which I like to add to Todoist. This scales better than other tools because it's easy for me to drag it forward to the following workday if incomplete.

Todoist is great for my personal to-do list. I like that it gives a compartmentalized view of my todos, though we use more robust business process management tools for managing projects and workflows across the organization. For strictly a to-do list, it is the best I've found. It allows multiple levels of nesting, and is more affordable and easier to use than OmniFocus.
Pros
Onboarding and complexity is kept to a minimum. Other platforms like OmniFocus were far too complex to figure out in comparison.
Flexibility was key as well. I was able to quickly set up personal and professional to-do's, without a lot of additional effort.
Their premium features were very affordable compared to similar solutions. OmniFocus is much more expensive and you have to buy separate desktop and mobile licenses.
Platform-independent. There are some very elegant mac-only solutions, but Todoist is available for Mac/PC and as a web app. This lets our whole team use it independently, although not together. Todoist isn't designed for major organizations, but does what it does very well.
Cons
Could have better large project management tools and collaboration tools, but as an individual task manager/to-do list, it's amazing and very flexible.
The basic app feature set is somewhat limited, but the upgrade is much more affordable than a few of its competitors/alternatives. For individual users and small teams, it can be very effective.
A bit of an extension of #2, but the notes feature would be a good thing to include in the free version of the app. May help to build trust/buy-in before a full commitment.
Its flexibility could be a downside compared to more structured apps like OmniFocus, but I personally appreciated it.

Todoist is a great tool to manage individual and family to-dos. Not as well equipped for organizations. I use it to manage personal and work to-dos, but not projects across our organization. There are more robust and feature-filled apps for that, but I don't think that is what Todoist was made for, so it's not a big downside.
I use it to make checklists of topics for one on ones with my direct reports, and even have a shared list that my project manager and I use to prioritize our discussion points before we start our 1:1s. This is a shared list that we both add to throughout the week as we prepare for our meeting. We both meet with our superior throughout the week, and this helps to keep us in sync without always meeting. We even have Alexa hooked up to it to create a shopping list using our voice on Alexa, which gets added to a Todoist list. I like this because ToDoist has an Apple Watch app, so you can walk around the grocery store glancing at your watch and marking items off instead of having your phone out or a pen and paper.
I've tested Wunderlist and Meistertask, but I've always come back to Todoist. It's incredibly easy to use and the tasking and scheduling workflows are perfectly intuitive. Through Zapier, I've integrated it with Slack, Gmail, Alexa, and more, allowing for easy tasking and completion across my comms tools. I use TDI for both work and personal tasking, sharing tasks and connecting to calendars. TDI helps me run my life.
Pros
Tasking.
Scheduling.
Project management.
Cons
Would like to be able to complete tasks via Alexa.
No real complaints. I love it.

Todoist is my favorite productivity tool! Working cross-functionally and with a range of clients, I'm in a few project management and comms tools. TDI is my task hub. I can't work without it. Connecting TDI to all sorts of other tools helps me to instantly set tasks and reminders, then manage them efficiently in the app.
Todoist is being used by every full-time team member at our software-as-a-service (SaaS) startup in the nonprofit space. We use it for daily and weekly tasks that we perform individually, so as to set deadlines and priorities, along with assigning one another tasks that relate to our individual work in each department.
Pros
Todoist is great at automatically setting you up to easily create deadlines and priorities on a few clicks. This takes away the guesswork of poor user interface design and makes for more efficient workdays!
Todoist makes it very easy to see things in a timeline manner on the main dashboard, which is nice when looking at a week's or month's work.
Todoist sends daily reminders of what you have on your plate for the day, as well as which tasks are overdue, which is exactly the daily summary I like to have.
Cons
Todoist does not make it easy to find a "calendar view" of the tasks-at-hand. I like being able to scroll through lists of my "Today" tasks, "The Next 7 Days" tasks, etc., but I would like to have a clearer feature where I can see a calendar of how many tasks I have on each date, and how many Priority 1 versus Priority 3 or Priority 4 tasks I have, etc., in more calendar or graph-based visuals.
Todoist does not necessarily allow for automatic sharing of tasks, which I would prefer in such a small team at this point in time. You can share tasks one-by-one, but I think there could be strength to setting a default where you inverse the model and allow people to hide tasks as individual-view only, versus just allowing others to see what is on your plate. I think this would foster more collaboration and allow others to see what you have on your plate that they may be able to help with, too!
Todoist doesn't have a quick-view to see which other team members have set up Todoist, and how many tasks they have as you scroll through any calendar or list views. This would be really helpful for team capacity planning and covering or leveling out work loads.
Likelihood to Recommend
Todoist is nice in that it is very easy and straightforward to use, which is one of the main pieces that people need in order to adopt the use of a new tool across an organization. It is very clear on how to create and complete tasks, and how to set labels, archive tasks, and assign tasks to others. So for those that are thrown off by lengthy spreadsheet project management models, Todoist is a great tool to consider, even for a trial period or demo!
Todoist would not be for someone that wants to plan out projects at-length with more typical Project Management-related software, whether particular to software development like sprints in Atlassian's JIRA, or in design or business roles in a highly visual and sharing-focused program like Monday.com. In these types of programs, you have a lot more visibility and project-focused visualization and feature sets that are required, whereas Todoist's strength really lies in getting people away from paper lists that have you constantly flipping back and forth between the pages, and get you into the digital space to keep track of things for people before, during, and after meetings, or on top of assignments that you have to hit by a particular deadline.
