Data visualization related to customer complaints. ThoughtSpot allows for quick and easy customization of the required information. Some superusers provide basic dashboards using complaints datasets, and then the team is able to customize what to display (e.g. complaints belonging to a specific customer, country, year…) and how (type of graph, grouping…).
Pros
Customization
Human language friendly
Good user interface
Cons
Complex for new users
Non-admins cannot easily customize color palettes (at least in a corporate environment)

Scenarios where you don’t need a static dashboard, but a dashboard to play with, easily add data, remove it, change how it is visualized… I’d recommend having a basic view that allows users to avoid a lot of pre configuration and just need to type in what they want to see.
We use ThoughSpot as a Business Analytics and reporting tool. Some of our organization data is connected and available in ThoughtSpot so we can generate tables, charts and a complete Dashboard to review, analyze, and report this data. The main problem ThoughtSpot resolves in our organization, compared to other similar tools we have is that is much more flexible so many users can generate their personalized views and analysis directly in the tool.
Pros
Great User Interface
Great flexibility for personalized views
Easy connection to databases
Cons
We need more type of charts and views
Better filtering experience
Likelihood to Recommend
It is well suited when the same data is consumed by many different people with different analytics and visualization requirements because, if you have the data available in ThoughtSpot, every user can prepare different views.
Also, it is a good reporting tool, you can get rid of slides if you have a good dashboard prepared, gaining flexibility and agility.
ThoughtSpot allows us to create liveboards that are fast processing when it comes to large datasets. We are able to do live data connections that give us the scalability to find insights that ultimately guide us in strategic management of our data whether it is engineering, marketing, product, etc. This serves a wide array of use cases on whether this is strategy-focused or product-focused.
Pros
Data connections with live data sources
Customer support with chat
Ease of use with visual charts
Cons
formulas are not intuitive
need to have totals and percentages into one chart
use spotIQ within the liveboards
Likelihood to Recommend
Large data sources to fast processing speeds onto a liveboard
I use Thoughtspot to enable self-serve analytics on pharmaceutical data. Thouhtspot's USP is its ease of use for the end users and they get answers from their data in just a few clicks. Plus, with the introduction of Thoughtspot sage, the Gen AI capabilities provides users with NLP capabilites on their data - which is great for business and HQ users (who are not so tech savvy). Lastly, feature like SpotIQ provide users with automated analysis and insights on their data - which otherwise would have required some manual intervention from a technical user.
Pros
Ease of Use
Very Fast Querying on even huge datasets
Strong data modelling features
Cons
Customizability of the visualization/liveboards
Addition of support for more data warehouse systems
Option of creating data extracts
Likelihood to Recommend
Thoughtspot is great for promoting data democracy to the end users (primarily business users). It enables them to build simple visualizations and pin multiple of them together on a liveboard just by entering their queries in simple natural language. But, for building more complex visualizations, Thoughtspot lags behind other (older) BI tools in the market - as it has relatively limited customizability options for visualizations as of now.
we are using ThoughtSpot as a self service BI platform where we want our business users to create their own insights and deep dive into the data themselves and as a whole become more data driven company.
Pros
Generate great insights using spot IQ
needs very less technical knowledge so even an agent level employee can use it to generate insights
slice and dice data to whatever granular level is needed without creating any explicit hierarchies
Cons
more pixel perfect dashboarding
more option as compared to existing BI tools when it comes to look and feel
Likelihood to Recommend
for any use case where you users needs immediate or frequent insights from the data. since license is not at user level so if you need to open data to large employee base
Mainly used to cater reporting needs to our external vendors. In our current scenario, we were not able to share our reporting with our vendors due to our security reasons and protocols. So, as an option to venture into other tools, we choose Thoughtspot.
Pros
Speed
Search Option
Business user friendly
AI powered tool
Quick TMT
Cons
Limitation on visualizations
Graph - Chart options
Colour changes options / Formatings Improvements
Answer arrangement options on Pinboard
Likelihood to Recommend
Well suited in: - Sharing information where multiple departments are involved. - Quick turn-around is required. - Where more business analysts are involved.
Not suited for: - IT based infrastructure - Pinboards requiring complex formatting
We are trying to build the overall analytics in ThoughtSpot with different metrics and use cases. The purpose we bought in ThoughtSpot is to give access to external users for a better understanding of the reporting point. But we see there are a lot of limitations with the product where the analyst finds it difficult to show the pinboard as he wants to.
Pros
Its very fast in retrieving data
data model creation seems to be easy handled
search option is great
Cons
Need more vizualizations
Limitations in lot of cosmetic changes like font ,color etc
Drill down function have to be improved
Likelihood to Recommend
Overall the product is very much fast and AI features are interesting. But need a lot of improvements as such in the product development, enable more options for cosmetic changes. Limitations in the pinboard need to be addressed like selector placement, rearranging the filters, more options for sizing of the answers in the pinboard.

We evaluated ThoughSpot for a pilot to make market research/voice of the consumer data more accessible. The pilot did not launch, but ThoughtSpot was brought into our organization to be used with Snowflake to enhance our overall data access through the "data lake." It is being used by multiple departments but siloed on the IT and data science side.
Pros
It provides user-friendly access to complex analysis for those with limited program experience.
It has a fair pricing model with unlimited users that pay for the data processing usage.
It provides good customer service and partnership that's reliable and able to solve issues quickly.
Cons
I would appreciate easier access to test or pilots for implementation.
I would like a "lite" version for new or non-power users.
Likelihood to Recommend
ThoughtSpot is great for mining data insights across data sets with ease. It is great for generating insights for single data sources as other tools can perform that same function. In today's world, however, the more data the better. Thoughtspot helps make those connections and makes it easier for less tech-savvy users to perform advanced analytics.
