Use Cases and Deployment Scope

TestDrive is an excellent tool for automation and the interface is relatively easy to use and learn. It addresses the issues of easy testing through quickly being able to run scripts. It definitely has met all of our automation needs.

Pros

  • Easy automation.
  • Great customer service.
  • Easy script running.
  • Relatively easy to implement.

Cons

  • Crashes at times.
  • Not as easy for inexperienced users as the interface can be confusing sometimes and things are hard to find.
  • Sometimes it takes a while for things to load.

Likelihood to Recommend

It is well suited for any testing and running scripts easily. You do not need a programming background to be able to utilize the software.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

TestDrive is used in our organization to test both the client-side and the server-side of our software. Its adaptable script technology helps us to run existing testing scripts over updated versions of the application.

Pros

  • Testing our script in different environments and configurations with no extra work to be sure of browser compatibility.
  • Run data-driven tests.
  • Script maintenance.

Cons

  • Not suitable for small applications.

Likelihood to Recommend

The more our business grew, the more we felt the risk on the horizon in that we needed somewhere to really manage and document our testing evidence. So, TestDrive helped us through the testing phase of the project by documenting and being able to access testing results, and also we had a broader scale view around regression testing.
