A handy calendar for an organization

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

In our organization, TeamUp is used to schedule all the events in a shared calendar. We can schedule events such as meetings where we can enter the title and description of the meeting and the link of the meeting if it is online. We also integrated TeamUp with RocketChat and we get notified at least 15 minutes before the event.

Pros

  • It is easy to use, to schedule or log an event in the calendar that is shared with a group.
  • The UI is simple and nice.
  • Schedule recurring events.

Cons

  • I wish there is a feature to get more insight on the availability of a certain user.
  • I think adding group chat feature in a scheduled event would be nice.

Likelihood to Recommend

It is very helpful for an organization where many people are working remotely. Especially when people are from different time zones and they need to be reminded a few minutes before the event. It is also useful to keep track of certain events such as meetings and employees taking leave. And it is a handy tool when you need to be reminded about recurring events such as daily standing meetings.

Perfect calendar for small teams

We use it as a shared calendar for all of our small team. We can schedule a meeting for each other and also see where people are.

Pros

  • Multiple schedule's on one calendar.
  • Easy to switch between calendars.

Cons

  • Need more variability in colors.
  • Some colors can't be seen when too many people are assigned to one appointment.

Likelihood to Recommend

This is perfect for our small team when we all need to be able to what each other is doing. It is nice that we are all able to add and edit events. I'm not sure what scenarios would be less appropriate because I can see it being used individually instead of by teams but large teams would probably have a hard time using it in the same way we do.
