Cons

needs better functionality for error handling
needs to improve ETL progress monitoring
needs a UI for configuration tool, that can be used to configure cube, etl logging, backups etc.
need integration with sql server agent for easier scheduling
needs UI to review etl and cube processing logs

Return on Investment

It helped us start out BI solution, but soon we faced some difficulties, especially for logging, performance monitoring and configuration of the tool.

The user interface is very appealing and super easy to use
Ability to easily create reports
The flexibility of all the information that we are able to report on
Their team! Working with them has been and continues to be such a pleasure!

Cons

I wish that there were more canned reports or out-of-box reports

Cons

Improve some of the flexibility with creating dashboards. Small issue since we find the simplier the dashboard the better.

Pros

The intuitive user interface does not intimidate users that are new to BI.
Dashboards really stand out with great metrics and KPIs.
Great dedicated team behind the product that is willing to work with you while you get acclimated with their product set.

Cons

We look forward to the opportunity to be able to take advantage of Data Discovery for Ad-Hoc scenarios. This is something that didn't necessary work as expected from Day 1 but TARGIT has enhanced the functionality moving forward and [we] look forward to testing and implementing it.
We should have looked at TARGIT sooner!

Pros

The in-memory cube in the Targit suite is an excellent tool that can replace SSAS in theMicrosoft BI suite of tools. InMemory aggregations are lightning-fast compared to Microsoft SSAS.
Targit also has a cool HTML5 reporting tool.
It is a complete suite of BI tools including ETL, cube and reports.

Cons

The Targit ETL tool needs improvement.
Currently, it is non-intuitive and troubleshooting is very difficult.
Needs better documentation including how to videos.
The InMemory cube works awesome but is very difficult to implement using the current application interface.
