Though there are definitely ways the platform can improve, it is still the best option for Pinterest managers to optimize their clients' presence on the platform, increasing both engagement and ultimately more sales.
Pros
Scheduling Pins
Spacing out repins
Cons
In my opinion, Tailwind likes to introduce features no one asks for, while failing to address glitches with it's core functionality
Return to their core use
In my opinion, the Tailwind interface is not very user friendly and experiences glitches frequently

I think Tailwind is best for ecommerce based businesses and bloggers. In my experience, it is the best platform for scheduling pins to optimize traffic and sales to websites. However, I have seen limited success for location-based businesses where foot traffic is the goal (such as Museums, event venues, parks, and other places of interest).

I have used Tailwind since 2017 in different capacities as Pinterest (and Tailwind itself) has changed over time. I used to use the scheduler extension, community boards, and analytics almost daily to schedule all of my pins, and it was great for that. However, as Pinterest's interests shifted, Tailwind changed, adding quite a few tools I don't have a use for. A year ago, I downgraded to the free version, as I felt like it just wasn't meeting my specific needs for the cost. I now use it solely to share 3-4 pins a month to communities.
Pros
Pin creation and scheduling
Sharing pins to communities
Cons
Since an update a year or two ago, the website is slow and less intuitive
They offer too many features that
The lower pricing tiers should offer more value for cost and be available as monthly plans
Analytics ("Insights") often don't work or aren't accurate
The UI is a bit clunky across the board - from browser extensions to the dashboard and throughout the new website

Tailwind may work for beginners just learning to build their social media presence. I don't think it's the best way to get Pinterest engagement anymore, and they don't offer much compared to other social media schedulers. When they focused solely on Pinterest, they were great, but as they've branched out into other areas (emails, marketing plans, Instagram sharing) they let their Pinterest product stagnate. I already have a social media scheduler that includes quite a few more platforms and features most social media managers or comms teams really need and use on a day-to-day basis and it costs less, so I have a hard time thinking of people I'd recommend try Tailwind, honestly.

We use Tailwind for our two non-profit organizations for Pinterest and Instagram. It has made it so easy to stay up on scheduling our pins and our Instagram posts that our engagement and followers have grown substantially because of using Tailwind. We also love that for Instagram there is SmartBio where a person can link directly to that post and for Pinterest, we love the community section where others can find and pin your posts.
Pros
Scheduling Pins on more than one Board across a time frame.
Scheduling Instagram posts at recommended times.
Using Smart Bio for links from Instagram directly to our website.
Cons
When you add a link to your post and add the caption, it goes to the first line and not where I had the cursor. I do not want the link to be the first thing people read.
The Tailwind Create is fun and helpful but still hard to use.
Likelihood to Recommend
I have recommended Tailwind to a number of different companies to help with their scheduling of their Instagram and Pinterest posts. Many of them have started using Tailwind and are finding it worthwhile. I have also recommended it to many bloggers for their use and it has worked well for them as well.

I sell sheet music on my education website and an overwhelming majority of my traffic comes from Pinterest. Like all things social media related, Pinterest has its method of preferring your pins to show to others and one way that it does this is by rewarding you the more active you are. This means that the more you pin, the more preference you get in other people's feeds. Tailwind helps you gain recognition on Pinterest by strategically pinning for you at set intervals throughout the day. I wanted to maximize my presence on Pinterest since this was the proven traffic source for my website so I tried out Tailwind to help promote my website.
Pros
Tailwind takes the guesswork out of when to know the best time to pin (there are higher yield pinning times and they have figured this out for you).
Tailwind automates pinning so you can receive preference from Pinterest as a more active user and have your pins shown to more people.
Tailwind also does it's best to reach out and educate you about how to get the most out of their service.
Cons
The honest truth is that I just did not see an increase in my sales which is the ultimate litmus test if a service is working. Maybe I just did not give it enough time? Maybe my market is just too small to receive the benefits from this service?
Also, I truly did not see dramatic increases in my page views. Nothing elevated to numbers that would have made it worthwhile for me to extend my free trial into a paid membership. Again, that could be for reasons listed above.
Likelihood to Recommend
Tailwind has mastered automation. They made it really easy to increase my presence on Pinterest. Along the way of my free trial, they sent really great tutorials about how to best use the service. This being said, they would be ideal for any brand that is looking to get noticed on social media. Facebook is pretty much a dying service in my opinion, and Pinterest is a huge platform where people go to discover. It is overlooked by many but definitely has some compelling stats to prove why it is a great place to get noticed and direct people to your website.
Tailwind was evaluated by our company to automate Pinterest scheduling and looping. It helped save us time by automating manual work, but was not worth the price.
Pros
Pinterest scheduling. Not a native feature available for Pinterest.
Pin looping. Making sure your best content is automatically sent to the top of your board.
Cons
Price. In such a crowded social market, Tailwind is not competitive on price.
UI: Not as intuitive as it could be.
Likelihood to Recommend
Tailwind is well suited for lifestyle brands with a substantial Pinterest following, who don't want too much manual effort tending to their boards.

I use Tailwind to automatically post images to Pinterest. My marketing department generates more leads from Pinterest then any other social media channel. In addition to this, my website gets 10X more traffic from Pinterest. Since Pinterest is my #1 social media network, Tailwind plays a critical role in my marketing strategy.
Pros
Tailwind allows you to schedule your pins at times you feel would be most beneficial.
Tailwind allows you to reschedule pins automatically so that it saves you time.
There is a Tailwind Tribe that allows you to interact with other business to network and increase your follower count even more.
Cons
You can't upload an image from all of the screens so you have to keep switching from screen to screen.
There are not enough options for filtering previously posted pins.
The app could use some improvement. It is very cumbersome to add pins to your Tailwind queue.
Likelihood to Recommend
Tailwind is suited for any company that is serious about leveraging the power of Pinterest. Tailwind makes scheduling easy so it frees up a lot of your time. Tailwind will help you to grow your follower count and build important connections to other businesses if you are using Tribes. Tailwind also allows you to pin to Instagram, although this is still in beta.
