Tableau is great for full funnel marketing analytics.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Tableau has allowed my team and cross-functional teams to build full-funnel marketing channel dashboards to monitor performance and daily trends. Before using Tableau, using in-house data sources was a siloed and long process. Tableau has enabled us to create robust dashboards, such as multiple-touch attribution and campaign-specific dashboards. The ease of use and automation have enabled my team and stakeholders to access data and make important optimizations across marketing channels easily.

Pros

  • Automation
  • Cross channel performance.
  • Integrations with marketing platforms.

Cons

  • Learning curve for some teams unfamiliar with UI.
  • Loads time for various larger data set/dashboards.
  • Real time data enablement.

Return on Investment

  • Lower funnel KPI enablement.
  • Full funnel revenue optimization.
  • Lead to demo rate optimization.

The WORST company to do business with

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Tableau Server as a data visualization tool for our customers. Our proprietary data are delivered to our customers via Tableau Server. Tableau Server is installed on our servers and we provide our customers with an URL for them to engage with our data and analyze them. Seriously TrustRadius, I don't know what to write anymore.

Pros

  • Data Visualization
  • Data Interaction
  • Flexibility to find the best visualization

Cons

  • Handling of Licenses
  • The "Activation Key" business is a thing of the past millennium, in 2022 it is ridiculous
  • Customer Service is HORRIBLE
  • Just don't ever buy it, it will make your life miserable.

Return on Investment

  • Their horrible Customer Service jeopardize our business. They NEVER solve problems
  • The risk of something going wrong in their whole backend mess is very high
  • It requires hiring expert Tableau people who knows all the problems

  • It's easy to manage and takes very little daily or monthly maintenance.
  • The subscription service really helps users stay on top of things with their alerts.

Cons

  • Tabcmd is old and needs to be updated to a visual client.
  • It is sometimes slow opening dashboards and the new data methodology hasn't proven the improvement as promised.

Tableau Server is a great tool for small, medium, and large companies

Pros

  • Tableau Server is extremely well at providing a stabile system for us to host data sources and dashboards
  • Tableau Server is great at managing permissions for users, data sources, workbooks, and dashboards

Cons

  • Tableau Server has had some issue handling some of our larger data sets. Our extract refreshes fail intermittently with no obvious error that we can fix
  • Tableau Server has been hard to work with before they launched their new Rest API, which is also a little tricky to work with

Return on Investment

  • Tableau Server has had a huge positive impact. It has allowed us to quickly distribute complex dashboards across the company
  • Tableau Server has allowed us to easily manage our entire employee base at the company and control the dashboards they view and interact with

An experienced general review for Tableau Server

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Tableau Server is generally used when we done with all our visual presentations making, data analysis, making dashboards and now some other persons wants to edit in this by giving access or to present or share online with some other persons. It is very easy to share your work like all the charts, tables, that you worked on and need some suggestions or edits or present to clients you can do anything with this. I have done some projects also in Tableau Desktop, Public and Tableau Server and it is great to share that on Tableau Server with easy links and access without any data loss .

Pros

  • To convert raw datasets into powerful reports, dashboards, presentable form .
  • To easy share your work with anyone with easy access without any data loss .
  • A database that stores all your works without any space in your devices and keep safe your data, dashboards etc up-to when you in need to use .

Cons

  • Auto- scheduling for backups data in large data sets.
  • More technical updates in coming versions .
  • Speed to upload and opening files

Return on Investment

  • Positively more affected as it provides easiness to present your raw datasets into presentable well designed dashboards for easy understanding .
  • No negative impact just need to purchase key for implemented but its worth to use.
  • Increases one to one interactions with clients, managements, stakeholders by presenting data in well report or table format .
  • Well server database to store and share your work even in large datasets/size etc without any loss .
