We use StackAdapt's programmatic buys for awareness campaigns where we need affordable CPM's. This is more focused on finding the right eyeballs for impressions than direct-response conversions. Testing multiple tactics (display, native, audio, CTV) for the same audience segmentation is great. Also, their geofencing capabilities are some of the easiest to set up and launch (though you have to watch out for adding too many constraints for a small geofenced area).
Pros
Affordable CPM rates
3rd party audience segmentation
Ease of self-serve platform
Low minimum ad buy requirement
Fast customer support responses (and helpful)
Cons
Budget can spend quickly if you don't enable pacing guardrails
Low conversion rates
Too many mobile ad placements if you don't limit in the settings

StackAdapt's programmatic buys are great for a quick awareness campaign to reach the most eyeballs. Solid user segmentation from 3rd party sources that is available almost immediately.
The platform is less proficient at converting users, though I've never had sufficient volume to test if this works better for enterprise-level clients with more conversion data.
Love this tool to help with our programmatic ad buys. It's easy to use and gets us around other platforms minimum. I love how I can look at different units in the platform to see what works best for my budget. The audience insight tools are also super helpful to ensure my clients spend smartly.
Pros
Easy set up
High inventory
Low prices
Cons
Wish i didn't have to wait for the reps to get back to us
Wish self serve had more features
Wish the costs could be even lower

If you're looking for a programmatic partner for under $1000K/month level of ad spend, I recommend StackAdapt. It's easy to get started and allows for credit card payment. The audience insight tools separate this from Google display or a more traditional display partner allowing both DOOH plus programmatic display. It's great to see everything in one platform vs so many logins or rep emails.
In our e-commerce business, we use StackAdapt to address audience targeting, multi-channel advertising, campaign optimization, creative management, and attribution/reporting challenges. It helps with customer acquisition, retargeting, brand awareness, seasonal promotions, and product-specific campaigns, ensuring precise targeting, efficient management, and improved campaign performance across digital channels. It is a very versatile and cross functional tool.
Pros
Customer acquiring
Multi channel marketing
Audience specific targeting
Cons
User interface difficulties
Requires more advanced reporting functionalities
Improved ease of integration with other platforms

In multi channel campaigns such as launching a new product and needing to reach a specific audience segment. StackAdapt’s advanced targeting capabilities, such as demographic, interest, and behaviour targeting, make it ideal for precisely reaching potential customers likely to be interested in our new product. It works particularly well in communicating with your target audience.
We use StackAdapt as our DSP, most commonly for running programmatic display, audio (podcasts and commercials), and connected TV (including on specialty channels like Hulu, Disney+, etc.). They are currently the only CTV and programmatic audio vendor that we use, and we use them as a managed service. We have a StackAdapt rep who sets up and maintains the campaigns for us, and we pull our own reporting on performance via an API connection.
Pros
Affordable placements & ad delivery.
Managed service means saved time for our agency.
Reasonable service fee to use them for managed media services.
Cons
There has been occasional slopping maintenance of the campaigns, and we have to follow up with questions about spending spikes or significant changes in delivery CPMs.
Account rep knowledge can sometimes be lacking. When we question our reps about performance, we sometimes get confusing or nonsensical answers.
The reporting UI is definitely clunky and unintuitive.

If you want to get into CTV, programmatic audio, or programmatic display but aren't confident enough to run the campaigns independently, StackAdapt could be a good solution. If you're more satisfied with your media-buying abilities, you could probably avoid the managed service option with StackAdapt and run the ads independently through their UI.
We use StackAdapt for our programmatic media buys for our clients and our own agency. It is used by our PPC team specifically. The level of audience targeting and Account Based Marketing allow us to target a highly specific audience group across many different ad inventory vendors.
Pros
Audience definition.
Audience size estimation.
Programmatic media buys.
Cons
Charges HST.
Missing LinkedIn inventory.
Responsive ads.

StackAdapt is well-suited in situations where you need to drive awareness to a niche audience that cannot be easily targeted on the GDN. For our agency it is useful for our Canadian clients only, as HST is added to the advertising costs. We cannot pass this on to our international clients and therefore do not use the platform for any clients outside of Canada.
We use StackAdapt's self-serve platform on a daily basis to activate and manage digital advertising campaigns on behalf of many of our clients. As the leader of our media department, I've found that our Media Strategists tend to prefer the StackAdapt platform over others and have found it incredibly easy to navigate.
Pros
Audience segmentation.
Data segment selection.
Campaign activation.
Cons
Organizing data segments for quick access.
Integration with internal billing tools.
Additional measurement tools.

StackAdapt has performed well for our agency across a number of clients in varying industries, categories, and verticals. We have recommended them for multiple clients and have found the process of activation and campaign management to be seamless. Reps from StackAdapt are communicative and are always available for assistance when needed.
We utilize StackAdapt to target users for a health & beauty franchisee in order to drive local-level reservations at our clients' centers. We use it primarily for one client, thought we have tested a few others, and sent out RFPs for a few others. We chose StackAdapt as another DSP we used was not driving efficient results, and we knew there was a better "solution" out there.
Pros
Outstanding customer service: quick to respond, great (proactive) recommendations and reporting.
Fair pricing.
Great response time to RFPs with great insights and opportunities.
Cons
Some of the audience targets are a bit small, even for less than niche audiences/targets.
Likelihood to Recommend
StackAdapt is great for agencies/clients that don't have the time or resources to be in a UI managing campaigns daily.
We deployed StackAdapt as a test of native advertising in a B2B agency environment. Would native advertising drive more, less, or the same traffic as other paid advertising. We used it for our agency but have not deployed it for our clients.
Pros
Their ad development tool is outstanding.
They offer to help you create a super-detailed profile of your specific audience but their online tools for ratcheting down your audience are strong.
Their customer support works hard for you.
Cons
There is no way to QA your own ads. They QA for you and based on the level of their customer support, you can trust their QA, but the lack of self-assessment can cause problems for your company/agency.
To know where your ads were actually deployed, when, and for how long would be amazing. They certainly know because they can track all sorts of analytics.

For B2C applications, if you have a product that dovetails with someone's lifestyle, using StackAdapt will put you in your prospective client's lap. For B2B applications, you will need intimate knowledge of what your prospects do when they are reading or searching for pleasure in order to hit them at the right time. Your ad and content will need to address their pain points so well that they mentally shift gears from escape from work back to work to click and follow your breadcrumbs.
StackAdapt is being used by our digital department, a team of three. We utilize StackAdapt for all native campaigns pertaining to multiple verticals, ranging from E-commerce, non-profit, hospitality, education, and entertainment. The business problem it addresses is that it allows team member access to manage and optimize our native buys, providing the team full control of the campaign.
Pros
It's user-friendly, as we can navigate well throughout the platform.
The option to have custom segments built strengthens our targeting efforts.
Support from the StackAdapt team is awesome.
Cons
Dashboard and filter options. When you are running multiple campaigns it's challenging to pull the right analytics. Could potentially be a user error BUT I'd prefer it to be an easier process.
Likelihood to Recommend
StackAdapt is well suited for easy deployment of native campaigns. Its simplicity is its greatest selling point. Users are able to navigate easily on the dashboard, retrieve tags for tracking, and organize campaigns easily. It is less appropriate for e-commerce campaigns with a conversion goal metric. StackAdapt's strength is its top funnel strategies as it relates to the digital funnel.
We utilize StackAdapt to execute native advertising. The platform is seamless when it comes to building out creative directly into the platform that will dynamically insert into publisher sites.
Pros
Creative building in the platform.
Contextual targeting.
Dynamic re-marketing.
Cons
Behavioral and interest targeting.
Bottom funnel marketing.
Additional publishers.
Likelihood to Recommend
StackAdapt works very well for building out top funnel audiences to leverage for remarketing with bottom funnel channels. StackAdapt has not been particularly effective for conversions and bottom funnel marketing.
