We had a switch, which the internal power supply was damaged, and thereby damaged the entire switch. Replacement of the switch was required. Just a few days ago configuration to port assignments were done, with the automatic daily backup we could restore the latest configuration to a new switch very easily.
At our organization Unified communications & Enterprise Engineering groups use this tool on a daily basis. It is great tool with multiple use cases such as managing, maintaining Network configurations. It also features Script Automation and Config Change management.

Well suited for Engineers with Network/ system configuration experience. Less suited for NOC.
It is being used by the Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition Department. It is used for automated configuration backups, baselining, and basic status alerting. We are also trying to implement some automation scripts for periodic password changes and access control list updates. Our network is medium-sized and segregated.
Pros
Backup configurations
Organize devices
Cons
Maps could use some improvement. Make it easier to document the network and view status.
Scripting is another area where it can improve. Maybe have a UI with drag and drop.
Likelihood to Recommend
Well suited for enterprises that have many managed network devices, are looking for a solution for automated configuration backup and restore, and need to do basic compliance checks. Currently, it is not suited for advanced security analysis, more specific compliance checks, and automation.

We are using it to monitor and mange configurations of different switches and routers from different vendors. Our network is diverse and we need a configuration and monitoring tool to let us know in case of any network failure and which component has failed. Currently we are using so and so v3 to monitor the network.

Centralized location for all configurations
Ease of management
Cons

Mostly for network configuration the SolarWinds really work well it can help manage the complex configurations but we need to make sure that the data is stored as a encrypted file not as a text filed specially for configurations such as firewall and core routes that have key configurations the best practice is to have multilayer encryptions and password for each file.
