What is SkyPrep LMS?

SkyPrep is an online training software that allows businesses, and knowledge providers to train, test, and manage their users. The software allows users to upload content any material they already have (such as PDF, Powerpoints, Excel, Word, Videos) and create courses and tests. There are also tools for managing, and tracking the activity, and performance of all your trainees.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use SkyPrep as a training platform for roughly 700 external consultants. We need to be able to easily create and upload training courses, monitor their login for troubleshooting, audit their completion status as required by clients and other regulatory bodies. We are also moving our internal team (800 staff) to SkyPrep later this year.

Pros

I can get user or course related reports easily. I can even design how I want my reports and when I want them as well.
If the users have any issues, I can login and see what problems they are facing and solve it.
The materials for the courses can be very easily created. I've uploaded powerpoints, pdfs, documents and webinars as part of courses. There is a high level of customization that is available.

Cons

While reporting is one of their strong suites, it can be more detailed, specifically at the user level.
The sheer number of customization options available can also be a detriment as it can cause errors downstream. We have a great account manager (Madison) who resolves all our issues in a timely manner.

Return on Investment

Only positive. While is more expensive then SharePoint, its worth the cost. The training staff are really excited to be switching to SkyPrep.

We needed a platform that handled large video recordings

effectively, had a simpler interface, and was easier to use as an

administrator. We needed something easier for our internal and external users to navigate and was high performing in video playback. We will be using some of the other features as our needs grow and our use on the platform matures.

Pros

The SkyPrep LMS staff are super easy to deal with, and it's a great product with an easy UI.
For the price, if offers great functionality.
It's also super easy to configure.

Cons

Nothing; our experience has been, and continues to be, very positive. I would advise others to strongly consider SkyPrep LMS.

Return on Investment

Previously we had a limited # of clients who paid for access to our LMS. SkyPrep LMS allows us to proudly charge for access to our LMS now. We expect to achieve our ROI in the next 12 - 34 months.

The SkyPrep LMS is our main platform for eLearning. This platform helps prepare our restaurant employees for their on-the-job training. The platform is very easy to use and user friendly. The AI functionality is awesome and it helps us create scenarios with customers exactly like our staff members will face. We can monitor the nuts-and-bolts training and monitor how each employee will respond to situations with customers.

Pros

AI features are very revealing with how a new hire will react when faced with situations from a real life guest.
Training modules are easy to set up albeit time consuming
The reports are easy to use and generate.
Compliance is easy to monitor with alerts

The SkyPrep LMS platform has shown us we can have better employee retention when new hires are more prepared for their on-the-job training.
SkyPrep LMS has enhanced our training and training always pays you back.
Guests complaints have been reduced by 12.5% since we started using this platform.

We use SkyPrep LMS to manage our organizational training, covering various aspects like onboarding and orientation, annual training, capacity building, and re-certification for professional staff. SkyPrep LMS makes it easy for educators to create, revise and upload content, manage users, and follow-up with minimal hassle. The self-enrollment option also allows for new users to get up and running quickly.

Detailed reports of users/learners and their progression in training
Self-enrollment process without having IT or admins having to intervene
Single Sign-on that works with Office 365 environments

Cons

Self enrollment can lead to duplicate accounts, ability to merge those accounts would be an area of development

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We wanted to use SkyPrep LMS to provide CBT for our new hire training for new employees. We onboard new employees almost weekly which drains a lot of resources. Additionally, we wanted to offer asynchronous learning to support growth and development. We use the platform for internal employee training only at this time, but the cost savings in time has been extremely impactful.

Pros

The sales team member was very low pressure
Our account manager is helpful and accommodating
The platform is relatively simple to set up for implementation

Cons

Would like to be able to navigate from user details to the next user versus returning back to the list of users
Would like to see whether a knowledge booster was sent
Wording of auto-enrollment functions can be confusing
