We currently use ShareGate for a number of purposes. The main purpose is migrating SharePoint site collections and content between our environments and within an environment. We also use ShareGate to run permissions matrix reports. We are currently exploring Apricot functions for our Teams purposes, however not at this time do we use this in production. ShareGate Desktop is the tool we use currently. We also love the different reporting features available for site collections. Lastly, we use ShareGate to remove orpaned users each month
Pros
Site Collection and content migration
Permissions Reporting
Content searching
Cons
Auditing -connect with MS purview
Better reports export for permissions matrix
Better user mapping (poll source and destination sites and try to auto map)

Migrations from one 365 tenant to another are so easy with Sharegate that there is little work to prepare and post-check. This tool is very user friendly and if you understand Sharepoint you can understand Sharegate. One other feature I like about Sharegate is that you can migrate parts of Sharepoint and not just the whole thing!
ShareGate just works and works very well. As trusted consultants, speed and reliability are especially important to our clients that want to run time-sensitive, big-bang migrations on a weekend and have employees return to an upgraded environment that just works. When we do migrations, the ability to seed the content first, then schedule a delta migration for the production push is great.
Pros
Scheduled migrations
Migration speed
Handles O365 throttling
Incremental migrations
Cons
High level migration based on modified\created date.
Support via phone.
Content comparison reports.
