Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use SentinelOne Singularity for our Endpoint detection and response and to connect via api to our Cloud based Managed detection and response providers SIEM tool. We have SentinelOne Singularity deployed to both end user laptops, production workstations and our servers. The deployment includes two physical locations as well as a number of remote and hybrids users.

Pros

  • Activity logging
  • Investigation tools for event search
  • Light weight endpoint

Cons

  • User interface can be confusing at first.
  • Sites vs default site vs groups can be confusing at first
  • Occasionally over agressive false positives with other tools like RMM tools

Likelihood to Recommend

Great for ease of deployment in small and medium businesses an was easy to configure and deploy. Much simpler than get Microsoft Defender up and running from scratch.
If an organization already has a lot of investment in a microsoft centric security stack, it might be more cost effective and simpler to manage using Microsoft Defender for Endpoints.

Reliable and Friendly

Rating: 10 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

It is used by all the departments of the company, about a hundred users. It provides us with maximum security on individual endpoints and, above all, through a very well-made console. It gives us the possibility to monitor every customer both within the company and outside the company itself.

Pros

  • Coexists peacefully with antivirus already installed
  • It does not create any problem of slowdowns to the machine on which it is installed
  • It effectively does what it is designed for

Cons

  • To date, I have not found any weak points in SentinelOne

Likelihood to Recommend

It is well suited for every situation where safety must be put first. It has been useful in situations where I need to have reliable and non-invasive software that can coexist with other security software.
