Lessonly is currently used by our company's Outside Sales Team. Lessonly provides a solution for our administrative, process and sales training needs. We use Lessonly both in person during live training sessions as well as remotely to teach and sustain process execution and sales tactics.
Pros
The video recording and response function is excellent. It provides a similar uncomfortable environment outside sales reps often experience. It allows our sales leadership to keep touch with each rep's intangible skills and provide feedback from a remote destination.
The user interface is incredibly simple to use. Within 3 minutes I and others in our department felt comfortable using the program. Extremely intuitive. Excellent job by the development team here.
Cons
When someone does leave a thumbs down and constructive feedback on a lesson, the admin should be notified. We miss these if we don't actively look for them.
There should be a feature to automatically set the Ask Button for lessons. You have to manually remember to turn the function on for each lesson and it's consistently missed. Both small issues, overall a great product!

Lessonly is well suited for most remote lesson content that we have come across in our use. There is only one type of content that we struggle with - content that involves a significant amount of math and/or calculations. Sometimes the content becomes confusing and hard to follow the way that it is formatted and presented. Luckily for us, this is a very low % of our overall content.
We use Lessonly primarily for our revenue-generating and customer-facing teams (i.e. Account Executives, Sales Development, Customer Success, Renewals, etc.) On occasion, we also leverage it for training support and product role outs company-wide. We looked to bring on an LMS for a few reasons. First, to free up our bandwidth (with a small team of two training and developing 60+ revenue generating roles) -- an LMS system allowed us to create well-built out, self-paced trainings that did not need to be delivered in person. Second, we needed a tool to better track, train, teach, and gather insight into how our reps are progressing in their development. Lessonly has delivered in spades.
We are able to leverage Lessonly in so many different ways: new hire on-boarding trainings, product updates, marketing roll-outs, knowledge base, compliancy trainings, etc. It’s also a really simple format for our reps to follow, even when they are on sales/customer calls.
Pros
From a usability standpoint, Lessonly is incredibly intuitive and user friendly. This was our first LMS product purchased, and it was really important for us to have a system that we could dive into head first without a large learning curve.
What I've appreciated most about Lessonly are the people and teams within the company who support their clients. It was very evident during our sales evaluation that this was a team that aimed to grow and scale alongside their clients by listening to, and acting upon, feedback. They have proven this time and time again.
Cons
This was not the most robust platform when we initially evaluated, and there are still feature gaps to be filled, but overall, we have been very satisfied with the experience.
Customization for emailed communication out of the platform (i.e. assigning Lessons) is lacking, but not a huge concern considering that is not the main focus of the system.

Lessonly is well suited to teams/companies who have a focus in training and development beyond general information dispersal. You can easily leverage the Lessons & Pathways to build out really impactful development tracks for new hires, potential promotions, etc. This is great both for individual standalone lessons, as well as a follow-up to in-person trainings. On the flip side, a scenario where Lessonly would not be as well-suited is as a general repository for documents. This is built as a training tool, not just a knowledge base hub.
Lessonly is being used across the whole organization to disperse important information and assist in training. It has been a great asset to introduce new policies across the organization. Lessonly also assisted in my onboarding to get me ready for my sales role by taking important information and introducing it in an easy-to-learn manner.
Pros
Assists with onboarding.
Assists with training on new topics.
Cons
Could be easier to create content.
Option to choose between list or grid view in my content.

Lessonly has been very useful for our organization since I have started here. Lessonly is great for both the training and onboarding of new individuals and the training of existing employees on new topics and policies that need to be shared with the entire organization. It helps keep the individuals within our organization accountable.
We use Lessonly across CS and Sales along with On-Boarding every employee at QGenda. For sales is it a huge component of our weekly and monthly work. We use it to ramp reps, reiterate training, quiz and develop reps. We use it for QGenda specific content or use outside practices to drive behaviors and increase production across the sales org.

Our business needed to find a collaborative peer-to-peer application to keep content relevant and current for sales and drive productivity and effectiveness. Lessonly meet all of our criteria and even exceeds expectations on the customer experience and platform development ideas. We work in concert to innovate functionality and build engaging learning one lesson at a time.
Pros
Peer-to-Peer Collaboration and sharing success stories
Allows people to effectively practice their sales skills to drive better business results
Cons
More up-front awareness on implementing -- a roadmap to success
Exporting lessons and paths

Lessonly works extremely well for just-in-time micro-learning and on-boarding training.
Lessonly is used across our entire organization. For our global company, Lessonly has been a critical tool in helping us scale and communicate information quickly and effectively. It gives our managers a first-line view into progress and learning development while providing trainers and enablement professionals an easy tool to quickly create content in a user-friendly manner.
Pros
Easy product interface
Amazing customer support
Strong culture
Cons
This is a difficult one to answer, but reporting can be a challenge. We often go to customer support to get the data we need. The plus side here is that they have always been able to provide me with what I need in a timely and friendly manner.

Lessonly is one of the most flexible tools on the market, good for both small and enterprise organizations.
It is being used across the whole organization. I am in sales and it is used for a significant portion of our enablement efforts. I have also been on the grading side of it as we use it for onboarding mentorships as well as the ongoing enablement needs. In general, I feel it is very easy to use from both sides.
Pros
I like the layout of being able to see all assigned activities easily on one page.
The email notifications are super helpful from a grader perspective.
The UI in general is just really easy and aesthetically pleasing.
Cons
I wish it were a little easier to see completed assignments. I also wish there were a way to reject assignments that aren't really relevant so the assigner gets pushback. Working at such a large organization I sometimes get assignments from people that are totally arbitrary and then it's annoying to have them just sitting there.
Likelihood to Recommend
I think in a large organization, where enablement is needed at scale, it is a really exceptional solution. In a smaller business, I think probably not as useful. It is really incredible for tracking and requiring learning in such a large unruly org though.
We use it primarily in Sales but also occasionally in our Business Development team. It is used to onboard new sales reps, communicate product updates, and share relevant sales training information weekly. It has helped us reduce rep ramp time and helped reduce the amount of time managers were spending in redundant onboarding meetings.
Pros
Customer Support
Learner Analytics
Ease of use
Cons
Gradebook is difficult to manage
Information is in different places, (ex: completion rate is in the individual lesson overview where as performance is on the main library page)
Likelihood to Recommend
It is great for onboarding and providing general/basic information to new hires. It has also been beneficial in ongoing learning on the team. It is hard to do situational practice.
We use Lessonly primarily for Sales Enablement, though other departments have begun using it since implementation. We use it for two primary purposes.
Weekly lessons: We send out a lesson each week, as a way to keep our team up to date on the most important topics. We focus on product updates, competitive updates, updates from the Marketing Team, new messaging, and pitch practices which the managers grade. Each section has questions to verify that the reps understand the content.
Onboarding: We have a library of lessons that new reps take during the ramping process.
Pros
Lessons are quick and easy to create.
Simple user interface
Administration is easy
Syncs with Okta for user hierarchies
Cons
User video recording functionality could be easier to use
I would like the ability to record activities outside of Lessonly in the platform.

Lessonly is great for companies who need a lightweight, easy to use LMS.
As the Director of Sales Development here at Thomas, I was charged with the task of fully replacing our classroom style sales training with a completely virtual education platform. We started out by building lessons to replace the day to day classroom work. It then evolved into our new Product Delivery platform and now we use it to do all of our onboarding for internal and external people. We also use the data and analytics from Lessonly around lesson completion percentage and average lesson review scores to help us determine where to allocate resources.
Pros
Makes it super easy to build and launch lesson content.
Provides simple analytics to understand learner involvement and participation.
Keeps my goals for the software on task as it relates to my department.
Provides the best quality support and keeps me aware of future product offerings and insights.
Cons
The Insights tab could be more comprehensive.
Offer gamification.

If you want a product where you can literally open the box and start creating lessons immediately...this is it. If you want a super elaborate product with useless bells and whistles...this is not that.
