We use Scale Computing Platform servers to run our online web application. These servers are easy to update, have reliable performance, and work in high availability, which means that if one node in the cluster fails, the system will remain online. They also have copies of our data in multiple drives, which means that if a single drive fails no impact is noticed. Scale support is quick and competent as well and that is an asset when you have trouble and need to react quickly. These were the main concerns that were improved when compared with the previous set of servers we had.
Pros
Reliable performance
High availability
Easy firmware updates
Great support
Cons

My company has deployed Scale for small to med sized work loads. It is perfect for the SMB market running 30 or less VM's with site to site replication. The management interface is super simple, and flexible. It is also more cost effective to deploy than some single host solutions. I would be hesitant to deploy Scale in a high compliance environment because it can not native support KMS for drive encryption. This is one of the only issues I have seen so far.

Scale Computing Platform delivered all the required requirements with a product containing all the necessary functionalities for our daily operations and excellent support service. Our daily operation is intuitive, allowing you to perform tasks such as creating and protecting VMs with just a few clicks using the graphical interface.
Pros
Easy to set up and install, you can get a clust up and running in undar an hour
Great costumer support
Snapshot capabilitys helps with cloning for testing
Cons
It doesn't have an area where you can view the cluster's resource consumption over time, only the current consumption.
It does not have integration with the leading backup players in the market, requiring the installation of agents on individual VMs.
Likelihood to Recommend
Scale Computing Platform proves to be excellent in environments that require a hyper-converged infrastructure with daily functionalities, and for organizations with remote locations that want to implement on-premises resources without the need to set up a data center. The HC3 software has all the functionalities for the operation and management of its resources, with easy-to-follow and operate workflows, and it has a low learning curve.
Actually, we are distributor of Scale Computing Platform, and we do product promotions to the Philippine Market in terms of proposing solutions in the business of the customers pertaining to migrating in Hyperconverge setup. Scale Computing Platform as a solution to the requirement and the scope for this solution are in telcos, government agencies, hospitality segment, etc.
Pros
In terms of relations between the distributor and partners
support and TAT for concerns and technicalities
Product highlights and technology that fits customers' requirements.
Cons
easy access to reconfiguration of the nodes
24/7 technical support (online)
built-in firewall since another brand has this feature.

When we have a customer in the Philippines that is looking for a hyperconverge solution to their existing network setup. The customer has traditional topology/network that uses vms. Hence, Scale Computing Platform fits the requirements that is needed by the customer. The features and specifications were address properly and the sizing of the nodes were perfectly addressed.
Scale is our number one recommended hypervisor platform and becomes the backbone of our clients IT infrastructure. When selecting scale for clients we look at overall cost savings, ease of use and scalability. (No pun intended) We implement Scale for clients that have as little as 5 users to clients that have over 8000 users! With the ease of use it takes the burden off of the IT department for both the hypervisor and backups. Our clients can sleep better at night and can "Set it and forget it".
Pros
Snapshots are lean and fast, so restore time is simply amazing. When you don't have time to wait after a crypto attack to restore, I have found nothing faster!
Clients can never fully know their growth for years to come, and sometimes it is only a year after the original install. This is no problem we can build on to the system like Lego blocks. Just simply adding a node or two and there is no downtime!
There are many functions that can be done while servers are running that help to maintain the most uptime, as an example disk size on the primary disk can be expanded without shutting down the server.
Cons
Currently there is nothing I would change.
Likelihood to Recommend
Scale has worked perfectly for all of our clients with no issues to date.

Anywhere that requires highly available, highly scalable setups. As optics on the client are required prior to quoting, it's difficult to undersell, which is a huge bonus.
Scale Computing has various benefits based on the use case. For HC3 it provides for storage, compute and vitualization into a single solution. This allows for simplicity, reduced foot print in the data center, reduced maintenance costs, HVAC, etc. It is a flexible platform right out of the box with minimal setup and configuration time.
Pros
Eliminates the need for separate storage, compute and networking.
Simplistic
Fully integrated right out of the box.
Cons
I do not see anything from a negative standpoint at this time, comprehensive product.
Likelihood to Recommend
Well suited for small to medium environments, where they may have a limited IT staff. The core data center administrators are challenged to maintain 24/7 uptime and to protect the critical data that resides in the databases and file services that make up the data center that may be spread across dozens or hundreds of workloads. The infrastructure to run all of these workloads and store their data can become complex as it grows and administrators may be challenged to manage multiple server, storage, and virtualization technologies to form the infrastructure. There are a vast number of benefits of moving to a solution combining the best of both worlds.
Scale Computing HC3 (taking up 3U of server rack space) has replaced 14U of hardware that we had previously used. It replaced 2 dedicated storage arrays, 2 VM hosts, and several physical file and backup servers. It runs all of the virtual servers that our organization uses, as well as snapshots and backups. It simplifies our infrastructure, making it easy for this one-man shop to manage and maintain.
Pros
Migration to Scale Computing HC3 is simple and straightforward.
Management of VMs has never been easier.
Backup and Disaster Recovery with Scale Computing HC3 is built in to the system.
Support, which is rarely needed, is knowledgeable and quick to respond. Average time to reach a live support technician is 17 seconds.
Cons
I'd like to see more accurate detailed documentation for alternative migration options for situations where using the Double-Take software isn't supported.
I'd like to see more realistic time estimates for setup and migration. Although the process is fairly straightforward, the initial setup and migration took considerably longer that the marketing suggested. Maybe they're using best-case scenario numbers. All things considered, not a huge deal, but I like to plan for worst-case so that I can set expectations.
Likelihood to Recommend
I can't speak to large businesses because I'm not familiar with their technology needs, but for any small or medium business with servers and storage on-premises, Scale Computing HC3 is a scalable HCI platform that's cost-effective and easy to manage and maintain. Especially for businesses with limited tech staff, Scale Computing HC3 is a game changer, freeing up valuable time to focus on higher-level projects.
We used it for clients to cost effectively consolidate storage and server workloads to a 3U server footprint with an easy to use management interface. By including storage, networking and compute in a redundant platform we have substantially increased our resiliency and recoverability. We have implemented Scale's offsite disaster recovery as well which efficiently replicates data to a separate data center for easy recovery should the need arise.
Pros
Cost reduction for virtualized workloads.
Consolidates storage and networking.
Simplifies management of virtual servers.
Efficient backup and disaster recovery.
Cons
The management interface could provide more granular configuration options.
Monitoring and alerting for replication and snapshots needs improvement.
Need easier quoting capabilities for partners.
Likelihood to Recommend
HC3 provides disaster recovery and business continuity through efficient data replication to a remote Scale node or Scale partner. Scale should also be considered when evaluating replacement of end of life server/storage. Scale is often less expensive then competing hyperconverged options and less costly then other virtualization solutions. Scale also offers edge computing solutions which work really well in branch offices.
