What is SapMachine?

SapMachine is an OpenJDK released maintained and supported by SAP. The user can replace the in-build JAVA Support from the SAP HANA Studio with SapMachine. It is used to build and maintain a SAP supported version of OpenJDK for SAP customers and partners who wish to use OpenJDK to run their applications. It is available free and open source under the GPL-2.0 license.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

we are using SapMachine for developing java applications, the reason we are using SapMachine is that it is open source, and since we are having SAP infrastructure so we have made the choice of using SapMachine which is SAP's own Java distribution. there are already plenty of services SAP that we were using that's the reason why we chose SapMachine over other open-source JDK distribution.
