I am SAP Basis Admin. working in service support Organization. We have several SAP customers uses SAP NetWeaver application server with different databases.
We have SAP ABAP , JAVA and ABAP+JAVA servers as well in support for different customers across the globe.
We also have different- different versions and products based on SAP NetWeaver.

Pros
- SAP Netweaver supports many databases like oracle ,MSSQL ,DB2 ,HANA ,sybase etc
- It is reliable and also supports different OS like windows , Linux etc
- We can host on cloud also like GCP,AWS,Azure etc or even on premise as well
- Default memory management is very good, we donot need to worry about memory parameters until we face critical issue. SAP manages memory usage quite well.
Cons
- sometimes in linux OS we face several issues during start and stop. Sometimes Zombie process still exists after clean shutdown that time we need to manually kill those processes otherwise it might not start properly. Here SAP can improve.
Return on Investment
- SAP is best in terms of ERP software and ERP is installed on top off SAP Netweaver.
- Best value for money and we get lots of patch from SAP and also resolution Notes from SAP if there is any issue. SAP does lots of RND and very active on that.
- Best support team and incident management is there so if we are stuck we can easily get support from SAP dedicated team.

- The reports are full of data but in some transactions there are missing options.
- Not too easy for a custom format.
- We are using an old version and the exports formats are too old.

- We have requests that couldn't be duplicated. Maybe we need to pay to fix that.
