Categories & Use Cases

Pretty good software overall!

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Salesforce Mobile is pretty unique and such a convenient tool to use. It's great to be able to send a text to also communicate with the applicant instead of always calling. Such a valuable tool to use. It has been very useful to help contact older prospects or applicants in the system. I think it's a useful tool and I think more companies should also adapt to this as well.

Pros

  • Being able to customize your message
  • Faster response in real time
  • Saving message to use for a great follow up
  • Controlling your leads

Cons

  • It's very glitchy-- some of the canned messages won't work for no reason
  • Some links don't work all the time
  • It could be easier to navigate from one report to another

Return on Investment

  • Easy accessibility to all accounts from your phone
  • For an expensive system it should be working seamlessly
  • Easy access to dashboards and reports

Usability

Hopes of mobile access to Salesforce, crashed and burned

Pros

  • Searching
  • Tasks
  • Call logging
  • Information gathering

Cons

  • It's pretty complex to use and not very straightforward as to where everything is and how to access.
  • Search function needs to be enhanced. Finding accounts in the desktop version is simple and accurate. With mobile, not so much.
  • It should be more customizable to enhance features frequently used.

Most Important Features

  • Search when out of the office
  • Access to previous activities
  • Limited ability to record activities when out of the office

Return on Investment

  • Minimal [impact], if at all. Most work in the office so mobile is limited.
  • Adds to frustration when out of the office as it's time consuming to search for an address or phone number and getting no results is frustrating.

Your Saleforce Instance in the Palms of your Hands!

Pros

  • The overall user experience of the app is very good. It's intuitive and easy to navigate.
  • The app reflects the native desktop app and does not limit functionality.
  • The search feature makes it quick to look up a specific contact or opportunity.

Cons

  • The ability to upload documents to related records would be a plus. This may be possible and I am just not finding it.
  • Other than that, I think the app does a great job of mirroring our Salesforce instance.

Most Important Features

  • Contacts, Opportunities, Accounts.
  • Chatter.
  • Tasks.

Return on Investment

  • I think the most positive impact we've realized are improved efficiencies managing active opportunities.
  • We have not experienced any issues using the Salesforce Mobile App.
