I've used Sage (prev Peachtree) for over 20 years. It's user friendly and can be customized to your needs. In fact, I pretty much taught myself how to use it with help from the support groups available through Sage. There is always someone there to help you. Sage is very innovative.
Pros
It is integrated
It is customizable
User friendly
Multiple users
Cons
Sometimes the delete key doesn't have a double check to ask if you are sure you want to delete. I've had that happen when I meant to hit the "copy" key.
Likelihood to Recommend
I love the ability to customize to our needs. This may or may not be helpful for some companies. For smaller companies, this software may not be feasible.

When you're busy it is easy to forget to invoice or to follow up with late payments. The Sage Dashboard has solved this for me.
I'm an engineer, not an accountant so having something that assists me, freeing up time so I can get on with the bread and butter stuff is a winner.
I would have allocated 10/10, but I had to do a little learning (I still am) through the excellent support offered; but it did slow me down in the first few months - mainly because I don't speak accountant!
Sage can seem daunting when you first open it, but even for a novice it is worth the effort for the benefits you get.
Pros
Traceability - where you are spending. I started with a spreadsheet which had a column for 'electronics & computing' this captured everything from monthly software subscriptions to hardware and from light bulbs to dash cams. Sage has helped me streamline the spending.
MTD - I am MTD compliant, although I do not need to be as my accountant is and they complete my HMRC submissions. It does mean that I have a contingency plan if I have to change this service.
Debtor's - It is easy to be a busy fool and not realise that accounts are overdue. For a small business, the restriction in cash flow due to late paying clients is a killer. The dashboard feature helps with this.
Cons
Terminology - I struggled as I do not speak 'accounting' so there was a steep learning curve for me. A prime example would be the Journal functionality, for me a Journal is a diary where notes are written. The addition of a '?' with a short description against titles would have quickened the process. Please note, this is due to me being self-employed, so I had no previous formal accounting training.
Template Flexibility - some more options with fonts and image input would be useful. As a business I use 2 fonts 'Candara' and 'Calibri'. Candara is used for titles, this includes the company name and company details. It is frustrating that the corporate styling is not transferable.

Sage is obviously well suited for larger SME's and large businesses. It is suitable for micro and macro businesses if you wish to make the effort to understand your business cash flow fully.
It also offers MTD compatibility which is beneficial if you are VAT registered in the UK, but if you just wish to record 'X' came in and 'Y' went out with a low turnover it is too much.
Our Company uses Sage Accounting for all our book keeping, Invoicing, Quotes, Reports and VAT. We have used Sage Accounting for 10 years and we also use it for our sister Company. I have used Sage Payroll in the past, but we now out source this to our Accountant, who also deals with the Companies Pension Scheme
Pros
Accurate Reports
Makes VAT returns easy
Helps to keep track on day to day spending
Quotes and Invoices linked
Cons
The ability to copy repeat transactions in Banking which are not recurring
Likelihood to Recommend
We have always found Sage Accounting very easy to navigate and self explanatory. There have been occasions when items have been entered incorrectly, but the help feature is fantastic and the support guides usually are enough to sort any issues out. Occasionally, we have had to call Sage for help, when the issue is more complicated to rectify ourselves

We use Sage to manage our invoices to customers and record supplier invoices as well as running VAT returns. The fact that I can do all of these jobs from my phone or laptop on the cloud is so much easier and enables me to work from home which I didn't have the option to do with previous versions of Sage
Pros
Online VAT returns
Reverse charge VAT
Easy invoicing
Cons
Editing data if mistakes are found
Customer support
Reconciling accounts

We used Sage as a trial to go paperless in our alliance team (Franchise), other franchise have been using Jobber. We founded out that Sage is not supporting what we needed, and we interviewed Quickbook. But they are quick to take our money and offered no after support. We are looking at switching to Jobber.
I run a small business and was using Excel to file all my Purchase and Sales Invoices but needed something to assist me as the business grew. I decided to use Sage after recommendations from my accountant and it has helped me to streamline my day to day business time.
Pros

Instant access to all outstanding payments in and out the company.
Great for checking cashflow and forecasting.
Cons
Ability to copy customer profile to supplier and vice versa
Ability to mark quick entry as paid at point of entry
