Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We create personalized functionality for the client inside the Saba Cloud software. Sometimes we have to face big challenges to fulfill the client's assumptions. We use the software only in our department, which is dedicated to upgrading modules according to customer demand. Our work includes analytical and development activities as well as testing of the prepared solutions.

For a new user who is just learning the capabilities of Saba Cloud, it will be a good fit. It is a very well-built tool that takes time to learn. For large corporations, they have their own particular demands. In their case, Saba Cloud may not be so well suited and modifications on individual customer requests will be required.

ASTM uses Saba Cloud to provide our expert training to our customer base located around the world. Saba provides us the ability to customize each company's unique experience to suit their needs while showcasing our extensive catalog of training materials.

Pros

Saba Analytics for learning are comprehensive and customizable allowing us to view any variety of data we need internally or need to provide to our customers.
Support has been amazing throughout our time with Saba. We have always been able to work quickly with someone to develop a new process or obtain guidance on a new feature.
Saba Cloud delivers training in a clear and modern format, allowing customers to easily access and consume training.
Saba Cloud also provides regular system updated which reflect the needs of their customer base.

Cons

It is hard to pinpoint something like this as most items are addressed during their quarterly updates so they are not missing items for long!

Likelihood to Recommend

Saba Cloud is a fantastic tool for training, whether internal to your organization or being used by your outside customer base. The continuous updates to the system reflect Saba's ability to listen to their customers needs and to implement their ideas to continually improve their platform. It has been a tremendous boost to our training program.

We currently use the Learning platform of Saba to manage all classes. We are looking at using Performance as well.
It helps us to track all of our learning events, annual required training and hold virtual meetings/classes.

Cons

There are several administrator functions that require a LOT of clicks to get to a final result.
Complicated instructions for some of the functions.
Need better instruction guides for functions.

Likelihood to Recommend

The learning platform has been great for our business. That is the only side of the platform we are using.

Likelihood to Recommend

It is very effective at managing course assignments and hosting course content. The notifications feature is really great and it offers a nice way of connecting with learners. It does leave a little to be desired with regard to using media, which requires some workarounds. Overall, I would recommend this product to companies looking to do eLearning and compliance courses.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Saba is a lead provider of HR solutions for talent development and management. I worked for Saba Software initially as a partner and then as employee of the company. We used the Saba learning management system internally, but more specifically I was part of the Professional Services responsible to implement the Saba solutions for customers of different industries around the world.

Pros

Saba is a unified platform for delivery of HR solutions at 360 degrees, from recruitment, induction, development, performance review and talent compensation.
Saba provides one-stop shop for all HR needs, no need to get headaches with improbable and acrobatic integrations among diverse and inconsistent platforms that require tons of dollars to make them work.
Saba is highly scalable and can be adopted by the small family owned company to the largest of the enterprise organizations.

Cons

User experience is not modern, tending to old fashioned layouts and styles.
Programmability is complex, slow and prone to trial attempts before getting it right.
Reporting capability is inadequate, based on poor third-party tools.

Likelihood to Recommend

Saba is well suited for companies that want a one-stop shop for all their HR business. The solution is fully comprehensive to cover most of HR requirements and comes in handy in two offerings: installation on premise or software as a service. It is less appropriate for rapid and cheap implementations, as the learning curve is not indifferent.
