Ring.io is a quality product with great value

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Ring.io as our phone support for our sales team members. It links very well with Zoho and with the price point it is hard to beat. The functionality surrounding the integration allows for our users to have the flexibility to capture conversations in Ring.io which transfer directly into Zoho. Ring.io does allow for custom migration of particular data points as well.

Pros

  • Flexibility of Application
  • Integration into Zoho
  • Call quality

Cons

  • We have run into some issues with outages due to their upstream partner
  • Adding the capability to make adjustment's to the GUI interface

Return on Investment

  • We have seen an increase in call volume so we are now hitting KPI's
  • We have had about 3 separate outages that negatively affected our sales team

Alternatives Considered

RingCentral Contact Center

Ring.io in Higher Education Enrollment Management

Pros

  • Salesforce integration: allows users to track activities and create follow-up items if needed based on the nature of the call.
  • Web-based calling: using a Chrome browser extension, callers do not have to leave the browser to make calls, drop voicemails, and work through a calling queue.
  • Voice-mail recording: prepare voicemails in advance and drop the voicemails into voice mailboxes without repeatedly leaving the same message repeatedly.

Cons

  • Outdated user interface is not visually the most appealing aspect of Ring.io.
  • User licensing is based on the number of user accounts rather than the number of users logged in at one-time.
  • Ring.io sales team was non-responsive to inquiries, but ease of product implementation made up for lack of pre-sales communication.

Return on Investment

  • Difficult to measure ROI in higher education space, but generally tele-counseling operations are more efficient.
  • Ring.io efficiency has allowed us to scale back the number of callers we use to accomplish our objectives.

Excellent functionality and value

Pros

  • Easy to add users and account numbers.
  • Ability to see sales activities such as dials and length of calls.
  • Exceptional customer support.

Cons

  • Wish there was a mobile app.
  • Sometimes the outbound dial count resets.
  • Lacking a notification of an inbound call while you are currently on a call.

Return on Investment

  • Click to dial function has increased efficiency.
  • Automatic tabulation of call metrics helps us keep track of productivity.
  • Call recording for quality purposes.

Other Software Used

Salesforce Audience Studio (formerly Salesforce DMP), Agile CRM, Microsoft Teams

Good Experience with Ring.io

Pros

  • Helps hide the actual number in which we are calling from
  • Rarely drops a call
  • Gets people to answer our calls

Cons

  • Sometimes calls will randomly get dropped
  • It seems as if the same number is used for each area, so if we could have different numbers for each call that would be ideal

Return on Investment

  • This is our first time using it
  • We use this over InsideSales - which has been a great decision

Ring.io Review

Pros

  • Ring.io logs all of our call information in Salesforce automatically, including the length of the call.
  • Ring.io records all of the calls that take place so we can use the recordings to listen back for training purposes.
  • Ring.io makes it easy and efficient to click to dial, saving time and allowing reps to work off reports without having a million windows open.

Cons

  • Ring.io could do a better job with inbound calls - it frequently just shows the number, even if the person is in Salesforce.

Return on Investment

  • Ring.io has saved us a ton of time, from a data logging perspective.
  • Ring.io also makes it easy to forward voicemails to members of the team they were intended for.
  • (Neg) When the Ring.io system is down, it is down for everyone. It's only happened once or twice but we were unable to use the phones for the day.
