is a cloud-based electronic health record (EHR) solution built specifically for
optometry practices. RevolutionEHR includes an EHR, medical billing,
patient scheduling, medical accounting and a picture archiving system.
RevolutionEHR also offers a personal health record for patients, allowing them
access to appointments, billing, prescriptions, and other important
information.
RevolutionEHR is 2014 ONC-ATCB certified and comes with a built-in FDA medication database. The practice management feature helps practices to manage scheduling, billing and accounting. The solution can also be used to handle claims submissions, store medical records and manage documents, among others. A personal health record portal for patients enables them to track appointments, build medication history, make payments, receive appointment reminders and send text messages to their doctors.
RevolutionEHR is primarily suitable for small and midsize practices, corporate affiliates, multi-location practices, and specialty groups. Pricing is modeled with a one-time setup fee followed by a monthly subscription fee for each registered user.

Pros

Cons
- RevolutionEHR occasionally crashes due to server maintenance. This is highly uncommon but it can prove to be a hindrance when an entire office is dependent on the software.
- RevolutionEHR leaves little user customization when it comes to optical ordering as there is no way to add proprietary products that you use to the drop down menus.
- Exam charts are preset and cannot be customized to how your office does exams. Information bubbles and sliders are not able to be customized by the user.
