What is RepreZen API Studio?

RepreZen™ API Studio is an enterprise-class API design platform, built from the ground up to meet the demands of large-scale integration programs. The vendor says that while other tools only address individual APIs, RepreZen optimizes at the organizational scale, aligning interfaces and streamlining integration from application-level microservices to federated enterprise service architectures.  API Studio introduces RAPID-ML, the new open standard for API description. RAPID-ML's unique data model realization makes API federation practical by adapting canonical data standards to individual APIs, so all of the user’s APIs speak the same language and work together seamlessly. So message formats can vary within well-defined limits, but still conform. The data model bends, but doesn’t break. RepreZen API studio is complementary to API management. The vendor says they focus specifically on the API design process in large organizations and complex ecosystems. According to the vendor, API Studio provides a highly productive IDE for service design, visualization, documentation, testing and implementation. API Management tools automate the downstream lifecycle: packaging, provisioning, metering, proxy, and client portal. API studio is designed to tie into API management platforms using generated API description formats such as Swagger, RAML and WADL.
