Procore has been a key pillar to simplifying our tasks. Helps us keep teams on schedule, stay within budget, ensure quality and maintain a safe work environment. It is highly customizable at purchase so we can choose the tools we need making it a good fit for any work we allocate it.
Pros
Has best user interface.
Outstanding customer service, training and ongoing technical support.
Straightforward pricing model.
Cons
The submittal process is a bit cumbersome.
Reporting features are not advanced.
Steep learning curve.
Likelihood to Recommend
Beyond just projects management, Procore includes daily logs to keep teams accountable, work-in-progress reports, to-do lists for creating and tracking action items, scheduling functionality and other collaboration features that help with efficiency and meeting deadlines. However, the reporting features need to be improved to make more effective and user friendly.
It works well to manage submittals, contract documents, specifications, and other forms pertinent to a specific job. It makes sharing these documents with members of different teams, subcontractors, and engineers easy. Since we have many projects going at once, it makes tracking things easier, and we can see who has viewed documents.
Pros
Integration with other applications.
Document sharing.
Reducing paper waste.
View documents onsite locations in real-time.
Cons
There is a learning curve to navigate the program.
Text to speech is lacking.
Platform is sometimes buggy.
Likelihood to Recommend
It works great for project management and putting all job-specific documents in one place. We are able to share drawings, submittals, and forms with our customers and subcontractors in a safe and reliable platform. However, getting reporting data is somewhat lacking, so if your business needs advanced options, you might try and find a better product.
I work for [...], an electrical tracing company, as a project engineer. I will look at other trade drawings, including architectural, electrical, mechanical, and Civil drawings. Procore is excellent at getting me from drawing to drawing with the embedded automatic links. This saves time very quickly. I also appreciate the submittal processes that are included in the application. The photos are a pretty big thing we use as well, and they are a dependable place to see what is accurately installed into the field.
Pros
Does well Emailing me (If i am subscribed to a project) to let me know when revisions have been updated.
Easy to navigate
Great at Allowing me as a project Engineer to Upload my drawings to Procore. Not a lot of steps, and very easy to do.
Cons
While uploading my drawings and simple, sometimes we don't always want to show all the drawings on the main page. So for Example, we break our jobs into areas, releases, or blocks of work (what ever may help you visualize).. and we have to go into documents, create a text box, and them attach a document link. I have no problem with this, but if there was some potential to make a sub drawings area or somewhere it may be easy to see all of "Project Engineering Drawings" or something of that area. Make it drawing number friendly.
I realize you guys have started a Beta of "Locations" on drawings. This is great, and maybe I need to look more into this. But it would be nice if you made a partnership with Open Space. Maybe you do this already, but.. We do our In-Wall as assemblies, and it would be very cool to be able to see a picture of my assemblies. I would then be able to accurately see as built of the architecture incase a drawing detail was not so clear for me. This is more of a suggestion, and a specific improvement. I just want to have a stronger connection with the site as we work remotely.
Assembly tags to put onto drawings would be interesting. As a Project Engineer, I feel disconnected from the field (as stated in the previous suggestion). I want the field to be able to use a way to check off Actual items we send out through Procore. You could then provide an "installed, not installed, or waiting for ..." options on these markups. This could then plug into a percentage complete in area or "Block of work" as stated in the first point I made. And further plugged into another Excel or Procore overall tracking sheet in Procore that can be exported weekly to track. Tracking is a pretty big deal to and I believe that I Procore can do this sooner than later. We have actually had to make one for [...] renovation and it was one of the most useful tools to use.
Procore should be able to give me notifications on Drawings, RFI's, Submittals etc. Like Facebook or Any other social media. Not just depending on Email Notifications.
It is an excellent tool for project management that easily involves offline activities and syncs documents and tasks all in one place. If used on a regular basis, the projects are all managed from one place, which makes streamlining processes even simpler. Most of the time, it requires almost no training for teams to switch to Procore.
Pros
Project management.
Task control.
Feedback collection and management.
Cons
Reporting and visuals.
More integrations.
Too many clicks to access, too long time to load files.

Easy implementation and reliable software are hard to come by in project management. It has intuitive file management and supports everything an organization can need. The Procore community is lively, and ideas and solutions are discussed. Updates and improvements only push us to use it more with time.
We sell and install commercial furniture so we use Procore to support Project Management. Procore allows us to keep our punch items well-managed - with one field repository for the communication of issues (via drawings marked up in Procore). This information serves not only the project manager but also the sales team by providing a clean list of exactly what the issues are, what the resolution status of each is, and in whose court the resolution currently lands. This enables us to better ensure that our client's last memory of us is as we leave their site, with all issues resolved, without delay. Our projects vary in size and scope from simple, single-product deliveries to full-building, multi-floor, and multi-phase installs. Using a tablet, our field lead is able to instantly communicate back to the support team to expedite punch resolution. Using drawings loaded on Procore for our customer walkthrough enables us to easily and instantly produce and distribute a punch list as we complete the walkthrough. And, as we progress with the resolution of open items, we can quickly communicate the current status to all team members and the customer. A win for all!
Pros
document management
project team management and permissions
mark ups on drawings
Cons
enable drawing upload without breaking the file into individual sheets (if desired)
ability to move fields around on the data input screens of the tools
better column maneuverability and width adjustment for screen viewing of reports - eliminates having to export to excel to 'make it pretty

Procore is a surprisingly flexible tool with the ability to adapt to different business sectors within the construction industry. While I am a raving fan, I think with a bit more investment in quickly implementing the improvements suggested by its users, Procore will leave competitors far behind.
Since our company specializes in construction projects abroad all over Europe, Procore allows our project management teams to have a semi-independent construction process. There is no need for extra excel sheets, phone calls from the HQ, or any other type of report to check on the project's health. Procore package together with analytics tool allows us to monitor everything from the background.
Pros
Manages both large and small projects.
Reporting and exporting data.
Tool variety.
Great mobile application.
Cons
Tool field sets could use more flexibility.
Permissions could be more detailed.
Tasks could be reoccurring.

Before Procore, our projects would use their templates for issue logs, assigned tasks, or timesheets, but now, everything is in one place, and if a project management team member moves to a different project, he does not need to readjust to their liking. Another excellent point is that we can collect data from all project and use it in multiple ways via Procore Analytics
We are a lighting specialty contractor. We Audit, Design, and Project Manage LED retrofit projects from School Districts, Hospitals, Universities, and Production Facilities. There are constant issues with the current Covid situation as well as material procurement issues that we are running into and trying to overcome. Procore helps with the management of the projects and allows all personnel involved to be informed.
Pros
Procore allows many users to look at the same information.
Procore is mobile friendly being on multiple platforms.
Cons
With being a specialty contractor we need to use some of the tools differently.
Likelihood to Recommend
Procore is well suited for big construction programs where there are many moving parts. Unfortunately, it lacks the small business aspect with honing particular tools within Procore to suit the specific company or project underway. An example would be that we use As-Builts for the projects but in Procore, those need to be uploaded as Punch Lists, therefore, taking away the Punch List function for project closeout.
We are an electrical contractor. We use Procore daily to manage our submittal process and to store and manage our drawings. The daily problem that are solved with Procore is going to be the flow of information. Usually, we are sent updates and drawings and we have to manually give those to the foreman. With Procore, updates are automatically put in Procore with no effort on our part.
Pros
Submittals
Dependability
Cons
Drawings cannot be compared to older versions while offline
Likelihood to Recommend
If you use tablets that are NOT connected to the internet, I would not recommend this. Your on-site people have to connect to the internet to compare versions of drawings and get the updates. The phone app works great! It is so handy to have the photos option. These are available to everyone that has access.
Esticom is used throughout my company to help estimate new project opportunities. By using Esticom to mark up drawings sent to us by clients it helps us save countless hours each week compared to our old method of printing the drawings and using a highlighter. It also becomes extremely useful when designing projects for clients. You are able to upload your drawings and add symbols using Esticom.
Pros
Helps create design drawings for clients.
Helps quickly and effectively estimate equipment needed for projects.
Cons
I wish there were more symbols for my industry.
Likelihood to Recommend
Esticom is well suited for anyone in an estimator or project manager type role. It allows the user to quickly and accurately get device counts. This helps ensure the correct equipment is purchased and used. The design capabilities with Esticom is also a great feature and has contributed in me being awarded projects by having a rough design to show my client.
We use it for furniture and electrical plans, punch list tracking and relaying information about a particular job site. Our foremen use it in the field to pass along information and pictures relating to the jobs that they are on.
Pros
Picture documentation
Punch list tracking
Cons
Upload syncing
Likelihood to Recommend
It can be difficult to use on smaller mobile phones. Using it on an iPad is great.
