We use it to allow end-users an easy way to install printers they are allowed to use. It also helps us track usage across departments, which we are required to do for financial auditing purposes. Our campus uses a variety of devices and Vasion Print works well with all manufactures, even Apple and Microsoft devices.
Pros
Installation of printers by the end-user
Easy identification of printer locations
Automatic deployment of printers based on device hostname
Cons
CPA compatibility with Kyocera copiers
Technical support
More robust reporting, better ways to group users by department
Ability to choose the specific version of CPA client installed on each device
Likelihood to Recommend
Works well in environments where you may want users to install their own printers and they need to easily identify which printers are located near their area. In my experience, not great to use the CPA client though if you have a lot of Kyocera copiers, but works really well with Konica Minolta.

We use PrinterLogic/Vasion Print to manage, distribute and install printer drivers for a variety of departments and locations. Many of our departments are dispersed around campus in different buildings, and we need to have faculty and staff set up to print to wherever their preferred or closest location is . PrinterLogic/Vasion Print takes a lot of end user consulting time out of the picture by automating the printer setup process. This frees up departmental as well as core consultants and engineers for more technical or enterprise oriented project work.
Pros
Repository of printer drivers for departmental and unit printers
Easily update configurations and drivers
Can be installed to end user systems by our MDM system
Centralizes location of drivers and configurations
Removes necessity for tech support to install drivers manually
Cons
We would like to move all of our print accounting into Vasion Print, but there are some features we use in Pharos that Vasion is still building out.
The repository can get a little unwieldy if too many people are adding drivers. An internal check to see if a driver for a particular printer is already available would be a nice feature.
Direct authenticated release of print jobs from the printer device would be a nice feature.

This is a very easy product to use and was quite straightforward to install and configure. We currently use the printer driver repository function the most heavily as end users in our academic departments access it pretty much every day. It was very easy to load on our endpoints and simplifies the process of getting the proper enterprise printers set up on departmental computers. Their customer support has been very helpful on the few occasions that we have needed to contact them. We currently are in conversation with Vasion about expanding the use of PrinterLogic/Vasion Print and have discussed various ways that it could be integrated with other printing support functions. They have been very interested in our use cases and ideas for building out the features in the product. We are very happy with the product and with the Vasion support and sales teams. The only thing I dislike about PrinterLogic/Vasion Print is that the repository can get a bit large and disorganized at times.
Vasion Print has been a mostly reliable service for us at our enterprise environment. We primarily use it to deploy and manage all printing aspects for our employees for both remote and on-premises managed devices. This has also opened the door for ease of use with non-employees having access to limited printing resources on an as-needed basis.
Pros
Ease of Deployment
Ease of Printer Management
Ease of Usage on the End User
Cons
Driver Management
Cost Management
Off-Network functionality for non-employee use cases
Likelihood to Recommend
Majority of the time printing has been smooth sailing. Receiving a new printer, adding it to the Vasion Print with the new driver and port number and printing is almost instantaneous in functionality.
Off-network printing is reliable part of the time. While this has been a feature we rely on, it is great when it works but an absolute pain in the neck when it doesn't. While services have improved and support has been present in the recent past we have seen an improvement in overall usage.

Enables us to deploy printers for staff & teachers at multiple locations and networks. Vasion Print eliminates the need to host print servers and allows staff automatic installation of available printers and copiers in multiple locations. This takes a lot of the workload off our IT department and enables us to be even more efficient.
Pros
Self guided printer install
Identify printers by location / building
Quick and easy for users
Saves tech time
Cons
None
Volume pricing
Better documentation on Chromebook / Google Admin printer deployment
Likelihood to Recommend
Vasion printing solutions work well in deploying centralized printing & copying to a large number of staff at various locations. We don't use it for individual classroom printers since the deployment cost with Vasion per year is too high for that. So I still have to install about 30 individual printers manually. We only use Vasion for large printers / copiers that are easily accessible..

We used it to replace our on prem print server. It was an old piece of hardware that gave us many issues. This cloud based platform removes our dependancy on old hardware and is cost effective. Without this platform, our 80+ users would regularly experience issues where printing was not possible
Pros
Deploying new printers
setting up the platform
managing the platform
Cons
i dont have any feedback to provide on this topic
Likelihood to Recommend
the only instance i have used it is for education and it worked really well

We can simplify driver distribution, improve security, and manage printers centrally using this software. Safe pull printing, driver management and the removal of print servers are all included in our use case. We have greatly enhanced our print infrastructure using Vasion Print's comprehensive capabilities and easy-to-use UI. In order to simplify installs for all end users, we deploy Vasion Print throughout four locations.
Pros
Driver updating is easy.
Simple to include a listed copier in our company.
Easy for end users to navigate.
Cons
Nothing at all; it fulfills our needs accurately.

It is the easiest to use solution that I've seen so far. Their support is amazing if you do have any issues or questions. It is cloud based so you can manage it and access from anywhere. The staff have had no complaints in being able to use it and to get the printers they need and want.
Vasion Print works great in our environment! Vasion Print has made our job on the back end of IT so much easier as it allows for our front end users to set up and manage printers on their own. We love the server-less remote printer management!! No cons whatsoever!
Pros
server-less remote printer management
less frustrating for end users
less time consuming for back end users
Cons
no improvement
