Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use this at multiple manufacturing sites in our organization, with different languages and different currencies. I primarily use this for Finance and Accounting, as well as internal reporting and analysis. The main advantage is that most sites are now on one common platform, which allows us to share best practices among the various teams at different locations.

Pros

  • Uploading large data sets
  • Customized general ledger mapping
  • Maintain a global chart of accounts

Cons

  • Inconsistency across different modules
  • Error resolution is not easy to follow
  • Sometimes you have to click "OK" too many times to accept an input

Return on Investment

  • We have spent a lot more on this project than originally expected - at least three times as much
  • The most tangible benefit is that this gets us away from old early 190's technology
  • No real hard savings on efficiency improvement yet

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Oracle Cloud ERP gives organizations more time to focus on the business side of transformation. Change management and business process management require the same time and resources whether you’re implementing cloud or on-premise ERP.

Pros

  • Oracle Cloud ERP does not have many native connectors to other systems so that is a con that I have faced

Cons

  • Oracle Cloud ERP system will reduce IT costs after we transition from an on-premise The savings included reduced IT maintenance, decreased fees, and freed up labor resources.

Return on Investment

  • Oracle ERP Cloud minimizes the maintenance burden for ERP administrators and teams, which IT staffs particularly appreciate. Customers also like how the suite helps reduce the financial overhead of managing company-wide systems.
