Use Cases and Deployment Scope

The autonomous database contributes a great advance to the operation since the efficiency in terms of adaptation in different scenarios and different circumstances is much higher than the reaction capacity that the DBAs in charge had before its implementation. Additionally, the perceived cost reduction in terms of the need for personnel in charge of monitoring the operation is notorious.

Pros

The management of the transactional databases is carried out with the ATP, with an improvement in day-to-day efficiency.
Quick adaptation to sudden changes in workload.

Cons

In my opinion, The learning algorithm may have improvements to take advantage of new technologies.
In my opinion, the Database training models are not always the most accurate.

Likelihood to Recommend

The implementation in scenarios where transactionality is the most important thing and sudden changes often occur, this database engine is ideal, however, in scenarios where greater control of the environment is required because strategies are being developed to redefine the business does not turn out to be so convenient because it does not get the most out of it.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We have started using the Oracle Autonomous database as a data store for Log analytics. It does ease the need for maintenance and is self-managing when it comes to performance advisory reports. But I will say it's still under evaluation in comparison to Amazon RDS.

Pros

We are using automated index management for one of our asset repositories.
We have had a big relief from the need for patching this database.
We did see a performance improvement when we moved the DB to Oracle ADB.

Cons

More deep dive insights on the data modelling chosen by the Oracle ADB.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Oracle Autonomous Database is the primary database at my current project, and it serves as a backend for a UI that caters to more than 25000 users per day. It caters their day to day need to transact and fetch reports. Oracle Autonomous Database does a great work of handling all the requests and catering to all the users without any failure.

I use [this] software I recommended it to companies as the best option how it can be cost-effective and productive in day to day activities in the companies and also storing managing and authorizing DbA on who and how can access the companies information.

Currently, I am using Oracle Autonomous Database to migrate [the] UAT environment for an insurance company. So far the migration is progressing well. I faced [a] few network issues during the start of the project. Also, [I'm] expecting [there will be] few issues with [the] backups. After migration, my clients [sometimes] want [the] old backups [which can be a major issue for me].

The database is good for businesses [that] need ad-hoc scaling of their database capacity as per demand. DR setup is quite easy with Oracle's Autonomous Database. [The] data replication can be done in [a] few minutes. Also, the data refresh feature is quite useful [as well].

We are able to secure and store large volumes of data in a secure platform for future reference. The cost of deployment is affordable and there is a lot of support from the Oracle company.

We integrate it as SaaS solution for others.

Pros

Autonomy is the key to this product.
Serverless saves you money.
Smooth usage for the same UI.

Cons

DB should provide private IP rather than public IP only.
It should provide one-click to import from other DB rather than using object storage.

Likelihood to Recommend

If you want DB as service, this is the best. It has better pricing with great performance due to its serverless mode, meaning no pay if no use. However if you don't need a large relational database or have a legacy DB application, another non-SQL DB might be a better option.
