The Oracle Data Visualization Cloud tool empowers our organization in the realm of hyper-granular audience development. The primary business objective that Oracle Data Visualization Cloud supports within our day-to-day operations is functioning as an audience research and implementation resource. The consumer and buyer-type profiles that integrate the behaviors, demographics, and interests available on the back-end of social media audience targeting continue to provide value to our marketing efforts!
Pros
Data visualization
Audience building
Audience expansion
Cons
Low accessibility for SMBs
Non-exclusivity of data partnerships
Automation in audience selection and retargeting
Likelihood to Recommend
One exemplary scenario where Oracle Data Visualization Cloud is well suited would be developing an audience targeting plan from scratch, or expanding on an existing audience segment, and doing so in a hyper-targeted and granular manner on the back-end of social media marketing. One example where it might be less appropriate or suitable to leverage Oracle Data Visualization Cloud is when an advertiser is strictly focused on design, user experience, and functionality of a digital presence rather than the audience targeting component.

More live as well as virtual (live) show casing of real situations in business.
Likelihood to Recommend
Oracle, for anyone that is slightly interested in the goings-on within companies, especially large influential ones on a world scale, know that like IBM and such, is soo admired, that even entities larger than it, have tried to 'knock it' down. But as in life and with man, it is impossible to keep a good thing 'down'. :)

By being able to view various analytics in my organization I am able to make faster and more informed decisions. Before Oracle one of our key issues was having trust worthy data in a consolidated, easy to find place. In addition it helps keep everyone on the same page by showing the same data to everyone who has access to the dashboard.
Pros
Accurate information
Ease of use
Good pricing
Cons
Better guidance on implementation
Likelihood to Recommend
The most used scenario in our organization is the view of our recurring revenue. It is key for our managers to have access to the same data so that everyone is on the same page. This is also especially great for our finance department as they can view our numbers in real time.

Must add mores diagrams and graphs

Our hands are open to producing diverse reports and data analysis. When the initial setup was done and after a short time we got acquainted with this platform, we easily connected different sources and other databases to this platform and via Data Model Editor to model data, which we can use in pixel-perfect reports. It has a great user interface with a genius machine-learning system.
We have been using a number of Oracle products at our company and recently purchased the BI Foundation Suite to address our analytics and reporting needs. OACS is used on a distributed reporting platform in the US for reporting to the UK parent. It is a global organization in the infrastructure and construction space. OACS solves the consolidation issues posed by large global organizations on different GL / ERP platforms, time zones, currencies and sizes. Not the entire organization uses OACS, however, given the Oracle universe an appropriate product for size and utility is definitely available.
Pros
Financial Consolidation (Actuals)
Financial Consolidation (Forecast)
Financial Consolidation (Budget)
Divisional reporting
Management reporting and distribution
Cons
Integration with Excel
Ease of Cloud / Web reporting development
Exporting and building forms for either cloud use or Excel
Likelihood to Recommend
Well suited for large, global, multi -currency, multi -departmental deployments, where timezone, language and consolidations is a challenge.
Departmental reporting can take various forms. The key is the seamless roll up and easy drilling into reporting details makes the process much more convenient and time saving
We are using the Oracle BI Foundation across the organization for different departments like sales, marketing, finance, and renewal contracts. It helps various business departments to analyse the data for making better business decisions.
Pros
We can use the pre-built Oracle BI Apps model & dashboard/reports in OBIEE. This provides real ease to analyze the data for every business areas of organization with pre-defined KPIs.
Oracle BI Foundation includes BI Publisher which supports varied options for delivering the reports via email, printer, shared location, fax. BI Publisher also provides all language compatibility support.
Oracle BI Foundation has Exalytics, which delivers amazingly fast performance reports in combination with the Times Ten Database.
It's easy to integrate OBIEE & BI Publisher and that provides the flexibility to use BI Publisher for report template building based out of OBIEE Model.
Cons
OBIEE can provide some changes in the user interface, which has been carried out with the same look and feel almost from version 10 to 12c.
Likelihood to Recommend
Oracle BI Foundation Suite becomes perfect to use when organizations are also using Oracle EBS for order management, service contracts, install base modules and all other modules of EBS. OBIEE pre-built BI apps and reports/dashboards can be used easily. Oracle BI Foundation Suite is best suited for enterprise-wide reporting. OBIEE requires understanding on the subject area model to create better reports when compared to other simple tools out in the market to build the reports.
The Oracle BI Suite was an enterprise-wide implementation at two of my previous places of employment. It was used primarily for business intelligence reporting and analysis. My first use of it was within a 12 hospital health system with millions of rows of data and a user base of around 150 end users.
Pros
Oracle BI Suite is a comprehensive suite able to handle any size of data as well as complex analytical requirements.
With proper training, most end users can be taught to use the front-end in a relatively short period of time.
It plays very well with Oracle databases, obviously, so for companies that are an Oracle shop already, it can be implemented as a logical next step for business intelligence.
Cons
Oracle BI is a very bulky and, to a large extent, unwieldy application. It almost invariably requires a dedicated, full-time technical resource to manage it on an ongoing basis.
The dashboard visuals could use a lot of improvement, especially when compared to more modern BI applications that sell well largely due to their impressive visuals.
The resulting reports could be a bit more user-friendly and more intuitive. Again, this is one area where more modern BI platforms have a distinct advantage over Oracle BI.
Likelihood to Recommend
Oracle BI Suite is better suited for very large organizations or multi-national corporations with massive amounts of data. Smaller organizations or situations where only a few million rows of data are available would be better served to go with smaller, nimbler BI applications that can be deployed much quicker and much more cost effectively.
Oracle covers all the technological needs of a company. Reporting requirements are covered with BI Publisher, and ad-hoc reports can be distributed to all of the strategic line. I love Oracle Answer. Users can create their own reports and share them with the rest of the organization. Oracle has an intermediate layer where dimensions and metrics that will be used are defined. This allows for greater control by the IT department. Other tools allow you to connect faster data, but there are risks involved in not being in control of the data.
I have worked with many end customers which have used this technology, and the key to success is the use. It is important to be involved at all stages: analysis, development and implementation. Oracle BI is not a simple deployment tool as it has very powerful features and it’s hard to see that all are used in all companies. For example, I have seen rarely seen the Oracle scorecard implemented, because it occurs at a very advanced stage of understanding business data.Overall, I have seen very good satisfaction with the Oracle solution.
Pros
Self Service - Oracle answer keeps the multi-language fields with custom tooltips in dimensions and measures to facilitate their use. We can even assign security dimensions and measures that can be used by users who want them.
Unification of data, the architecture makes the solution on that can leverage the same information for reporting, analytics and dashboarding.
BI Publisher - it is the best tool for customized reports with Microsoft Word. Users can distribute these reports to the entire organization by applying rules shipments.
Cons
Our customers say that the technical documentation is extensive and difficult to understand.
Data Integration - difficult integration with origins that are not database, but does allows some.
Likelihood to Recommend
Data integration is not very good with Oracle BI Foundation, so you should have other solutions such as Oracle Data Integrator. Other BI solutions allow better integration with disparate data sources. Oracle BI Foundation is not a departmental solution, it is an enterprise solution.
