Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Oracle Analytics Cloud to extract data of colleagues who are present in the company and those who have left the company. It helps us mainiting the database records from name, official email IDs, employee IDs (if they wish to join us back in the future), personal mobile number, personal email ID, their last position in company when they left, and if we can re-hire or not.

Pros

Sorting out the data on basis of IDs of employee
Pull report of ex-colleagues by just a quick 2-3 prompts
Stores data in a form which is easily readable
Easy extraction of data anytime and anywhere by approved systeme users

Cons

Sometimes data is too cluttered and is hard to read, and the only solution is to download.
Would love to see if data can be downloaded in PowerPoint form.
Sometimes data sheet are empty when too much of data is to be extracted for selection

Pulling out reports of company-based people. Where we needed details of colleagues that are present with us or even those who have left the company.
It stores names, designations, personal email, phone numbers, official email, numbers, employee IDs, the role they were playing, and their tenure information in the current/existing role.

Oracle Analytics Cloud is a pretty good tool for data analytics, visualization, and reporting. It helps to build predictive models. Data models ensure everyone uses a standard set of curated data and definitions, reducing inconsistencies. Application and role-based security specify who is authorized to access what.

Pros

It enables us to connect and integrate data from various sources, including databases, data warehouses, cloud applications, and big data platforms.
Data collaboration – OAC enables users to create reports and visualizations based on source data and share those views with other OAC users.

Cons

Connectivity issues between Oracle Analytics Cloud (public or private) and any private data source that you connect to through a private access channel.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Oracle Data Visualization Cloud enables me to reduce time collecting, preparing, modeling, and visualizing data scattered in all ETL services.

Pros

Collect data across all external data sources regardless of the size.
Allows users to reuse data models.
Reduce overall cost since rebuilding models isn’t needed.

Cons

Unavailability of mobile application, mainly on-premise solutions.
Lacks enough documentation for collecting data from on-premise services.

Likelihood to Recommend

There are tons of data warehouse solutions out there in the market, but I would recommend either SAP DWC or this solution since they are more or less the same. With Oracle Data Visualization Cloud, I do not need to manually visualize data.

Data Visualization Cloud helps my clients to tell stories starting from their data stored in different legacy systems. The Oracle tool is a solid solution to visualize your data and extract meaningful insight about your company and your market. It could be useful for a large range of business objectives and like any other Oracle solution allows integrating different sources through a robust and reliable solution.

Oracle Data Visualization is very effective if used in an enterprise context with huge volumes of data coming from different systems. It supports dashboard and reporting capabilities and is easy to scale. It also allows you to leverage machine learning capabilities to extract hidden data trends. Visualization capabilities are powerful but not so various if compared to other solutions on the market. If you want to present a dashboard to an executive audience and you want to make your dashboards beautiful you must adapt them through PowerPoint.

Multiple departments use Oracle Analytics Server for Data visualization and Operational Data Modeling. It is lightning-fast for accessing huge volumes of data and also generating reports. The data set connectivity is compatible with any data source or format. Oracle Analytics Server also has AI and Machine Learning which makes our lives easier.

The entire deployment and configuration stage was easy and it was accessible across the organization in a matter of days. Oracle Analytics Server being a cloud-based solution helped right from Input of Bulk Data to Info preparation, Data cleaning, and finally Data Modeling. Everything was visual and the Help Wizard was very intuitive.

We use Oracle Data Visualization Cloud service for our data warehouse visualization use cases. In our data warehouse, we use data generated by our front-end applications like Salesforce and back-office applications like Oracle ERP to perform data analysis and also visualization.

Relatively quick
Prebuilt joints

Cons

Current limit is 50 MB for xlsx data import. Could increase that.
Glitches in xls import on data format that is relatively common
List visualization does not consistently work

Likelihood to Recommend

In an enterprise where your suite of products is heavily Oracle based, the product would work well because of pre-built connectors and data consistencies. For a company where you have a mish-mash of various applications, the effort spent to connect your data and build various custom integrations may not yield the results you seek.

Oracle Data Visualization Cloud is a piece of framework to the much larger Oracle Technology Network. Oracle Data Visualization Cloud can be utilized on the desktop and can initially be trialed for free. It provides for data analysis and visuals, enabling end users to very quickly sort through massive amounts of data very quickly and cohesively. Oracle Data Visualization Cloud resides in the cloud and can be used virtually by an entire department, by end user, etc. Users can format the way they would like to present the data, by column, sort, various heading methods, etc. Ease of use is very key with this tool. It doesn't take very long at all to begin working and mastering the product; point and click and you're off running. It's important to note the product utilizes machine learning, which in today's very extensive informational environments is key to simplification.

Choosing the right charts can take time on presenting data
Using predictable patterns (e.g., machine learning) does take a little time
Formation of data; if you're not certain, it may take time to figure that aspect out

Likelihood to Recommend

Great for analytics, presentation of data, and creating slick data charts. Well suited towards providing eye-catching charts and graphical data, presenting to C-level upper management. I think overall this is a great product and I have not found an area were it would not be well suited.

It has simplified the process of data visualization. We can use multiple data structures in this. It is compatible with all the different data sets that Oracle provides for data visualization. We can also implement dynamic functionality based on different business needs. It's a highly recommended application for achieving any data visualization functionalities in oracle.

For example, we have check printing for the Bank of America which we are going to achieve through BI publisher functionality another example is related to the invoices which we sent to customers there also we use this BI publisher application which has eased the process of printing reports

We used the tool for Analytics purposes on HR data of employees of a huge financial institution (bank). The tool served as an excellent solution to Analytical questions the organisation wanted to ask. HR problems were solved using the BI Answers . Our scope of use case is pretty bast given that the data source was considerably huge

It's an Excellent BI tool for mainly large organisations looking for a single source of truth for BI purposes. Its wide range of features can be used for an entire organization with very good control of Authentication implementation without hassles. Also caters the use of medium sized organization well . Not so worthy of the data source is less and the users are less(usually smaller companies with size less than 1000)
