We began using Oracle Analytics Cloud across our whole organization, but only our Marketing and Product Pricing teams have had access to it in the last 12 months. We have plans to implement it across the whole organization in the next year. We use it to marry our sales call data, web traffic analytics, and internal IT applications. Oracle Analytics has made our sales call data preparation and reporting a much smoother and more organized process. We are excited to introduce it to our other departments to use as well.
Pros
Natural Language Processing (NLP)
Cloud/Desktop/Mobile accessibility
Data Visualization and Reporting

Oracle Analytics is improving how easily we, as a team, can access specific information and visualize and report our analytics. Our company focuses heavily on analytics and the artificial intelligence behind that data. Oracle Analytics has helped us stay at the forefront of telecommunication competition. We are now embracing analytics and systematic statistical reasoning to make decisions that improve efficiency, risk management, and profits in our organization.

Oracle Analytics Cloud is used to address various data visualization and reporting requirements. The recent use of Oracle Analytics Cloud was with the PeopleSoft system. Oracle Analytics Cloud was used to show the reports from asset management in PeopleSoft. Also, it was used in a proof of concept for a customer to integrate with PeopleSoft HCM to show the employee data in a report.
Pros
Reporting
Data visualization with data prep
Cons
Ease-of-use by end-users
We'd like to be able to show the reports in the other ERP dashboards.
Likelihood to Recommend
Some specific scenarios where Oracle Analytics Cloud is well suited for financial reports, employee-related reports, sales reports, forecasting, narrative description, and many more. In general, it's well suited for all areas where data visualization impacts decision making with forecast and narrative description with language processing feature. A specific scenario where Oracle Analytics Cloud is less appropriate is where complex data visualization is not needed and a simple report could do the job.

We use OBIEE with Oracle EBS. Our Finance department uses our OBIEE reports. Our problem is that our EBS data models for the database are not smooth.
Pros
Proactive detection and alerts.
Interactive dashboards.
Office integration.
User-friendly.
Cons
Difficulty of use.
Data blending.
Speed of change.
Likelihood to Recommend
Adding a new column or a new calculated field or a new table in OBIEE could take several days to months depending on each company’s processes. Combining data from OBIEE with other external data is not possible for an end-user or superuser.

Oracle BI Foundation is used in our procurement and human resources departments. We also use a custom interface using Oracle BI DW and ODI to report on key metrics for the management to gain visibility to enterprise data. The main goal behind using BI is to gain visibility to data for better decision making.
Pros
Data Security - Who should see what
Seamlessly integrates with Oracle Applications
Built in Analytics (OBIA) based on best practices
Cons
User Interface could be improved to provide the user with a better user experience and better visuals
Likelihood to Recommend
Oracle BI Foundation is well suited for enterprise data visibility in the format of dashboards. Oracle BI Foundation is less suited for operational reporting that needs to be generated instantly to manage the day-to-day operations in an enterprise. Oracle BI Foundation is suited to report across platforms and bringing information from different sources.
At our cyber services consulting firm we have been long-term customers of Oracle Enterprise products. We purchased the Oracle BI Foundations module to address the analytics and reporting needs of our firm. This software is used by our IT development office and is used for report generation from our backend data warehouse.
Pros
One of the best features of this new software tool is its ability to generate pixel-perfect reports and data visualizations.
We also have fully customizable, dynamic dashboards that can be quickly shared or embedded in different reports as well.
Cons
The product is fairly expensive and due to its complexity, a vendor supported implementation is generally necessitated, thereby driving the costs even higher.
Collaboration and version controlling features require more work.
Likelihood to Recommend
I think its been a great tool for us and has added value to our data analytics and reporting functionalities.

OACS is used on a distributed reporting platform in the US for reporting to the UK parent. It is a global organization in the infrastructure and construction space. OACS solves the consolidation issues posed by large global organizations on different GL / ERP platforms, time zones, currencies and sizes. Not the entire organization uses OACS, however, given the Oracle universe an appropriate product for size and utility is definitely available.
Pros
Financial Consolidation (Actuals)
Financial Consolidation (Forecast)
Financial Consolidation (Budget)
Divisional reporting
Management reporting and distribution
Cons
Integration with Excel
Ease of Cloud / Web reporting development
Exporting and building forms for either cloud use or Excel
Likelihood to Recommend
Well suited for large, global, multi -currency, multi -departmental deployments, where timezone, language and consolidations is a challenge.
Departmental reporting can take various forms. The key is the seamless roll up and easy drilling into reporting details makes the process much more convenient and time saving
OAC is a necessity if you are using other Oracle products and are managing a lot of data (larger companies, I'm talking to you). OAC was being used across most of the departments at my former company to collect data and access it from anywhere. It was efficient and obviously connected well to Oracle programs, but also to other sources.
Pros
Fantastic end-to-end business solution with OAC acting as the glue to hold it all together.
Customer service was phenomenal and we were able to get everything up and running in a short period of time.
Quick, reliable data that seamlessly integrated with our existing BI tools as well as external vendors.
Cons
Ease of use needs to be more heavily emphasized. Without some sort of IT background this will be virtually impossible to work with.
Likelihood to Recommend
In my opinion, OAC works best to support operations across multiple departments, programs, and even countries as well as for integrating with legacy systems. It's all about extracting the right data from the right sources and having that information easily accessible from various endpoints. If you are centrally located with a small operation then there is little to no need for such a large BI tool that can sometimes be a bit overwhelming even in a larger company.
We used Oracle's Analytics cloud service as a visualization tool for our data sets. Oracle's Analytics cloud service helps us identify and analyze device functionality and user behavior. We also use the tool to keep each department up to date and understand the progress of certain projects. The application helps us understand pain points of the customer experience and how we can improve those.
Pros
Ability to analyze large data sets and ability to create intuitive, easy to understand reports.
The vast number of connectors. We have the ability to pull in data from a number of other tools for deeper analysis.
Great set of out of the box reports/templates, however; tool provides the ability for customizating and building reports that pertain to specific issues an organization is trying to find.
Cons
Like any application, when you begin using it there is a steep learning curve. UI can be a bit cumbersome.
Even though Oracle's solution can handle large data sets, rendering of reports can take a fairly long time if the parameter set is large.
Oracle tool provides a wealth of capabilities and features, however; this comes with a heavy price. The tool can become expensive quickly.

Warranty support
Customer/sales tracking
Understanding user and device behavior

It is used by a wide range of users in different teams. The primary and most used feature is the business dashboard, which gives an instant overview of the status of all products and services. Some users will be able to drill down if they wish, to more details sections and dig in deeper in their areas of interest.
Pros
It integrates well with an Oracle database as the data warehouse.
Heterogeneous data sources can also be configured and used.
It provides certain automation capabilities.
Cons
Some queries generated can be further improved in terms of query performance.
Likelihood to Recommend
It is better suited for well-designed and organized data warehouses and data marts. It can take time to get full advantage of all of the features, and users need to be trained and user's active sessions need to be monitored for occasional unrealistic queries generated. It is probably less suited for un-refined raw data.

We are using Oracle BI Foundation Suite Enterprise edition to meet our day to day analytical needs. We have been using Oracle BI in different departments like logistics, IT, etc. The important thing about the tool which makes it faster and reliable is to manage, load and extract data from its DB to its own DB tool.
Pros
Oracle BI Foundation suite is an overall package of enterprise reporting, multi-dimensional analytical processing, and real-time quick reporting.
Oracle BI Foundation has Exalytics, which delivers fast performance reports.
It has the flexibility to run on different platforms as it is built on Java.
Cons
The tool is not easy to use.
Oracle BI reporting of administration needs to be simplified for better administration and maintenance.
Likelihood to Recommend
Oracle Business Intelligence allows me to extract data to write and modify reports to use with all sorts of data analytics. It did not prepare dashboards, it mostly prepares data to Excel.
